Re: HB48: Passed

My wife is up for renewal this year and her birthday is September 2nd. Will the state have whatever the new forms and process in place by then? I understand she won't have her chl from September 2nd until the new one arrives.

CHL being mentioned in accident report form

Hypothetical question here, if you are in an accident and you are carrying, does the fact that you have a CHL and that you are carrying get reported on the accident report form? If so, could an insurance company have any recourse when they received their copy of the accident report form to not cover...

Re: Application Time

It was a monetary issue. We had the money but she felt that putting her application in front of some other issues we had going on was not the right thing to do. I completely support her in that and let it go as I was not willing to force her to do something that she did not see as a priority and cre...

Application Time

I know this question has been asked before, but I can't find it through the search feature. My wife and I took our CHL class in August, I turned in my paperwork and have received my CHL but she did"nt turn hers in. She is ready to send hers in now, but I didn't know if the application would exp...

Re: CCW weapon recommendation?

I will throw in a vote for the 26/27 size Glocks. When I first got my CHL 4 or so months ago I carried my 5" 1911, or my Glock 17 and could conceal quite easily in a MTAC. I decided I needed something more discreet so went ahead and picked up a 26. Great gun, 10+1 on your hip, easy to shoot, ve...

Re: Reloading Presses

Lets talk color..... There are other colors of Kool-Aid than BLUE!!! I use a Hornady LnL that I really enjoy. I started life on a Lee Turret Press. It was a decent way to get started, but quickly found it to be lacking in function. The powder hopper was leaky, the disk measure that the Lee used was ...

Ok, I find it REALLY frightening that the only phrase on the ad in spanish is about gun rental? Is this for the Cholos not ready to commit to a purchase but want to test it out on the street? Yeah, because that's how gun rental works. Ya know if it did work like that, we could all spend alot...

If you want .45 ACP size holes at .45 ACP velocities in a g26/g19/g17 size frame look at the g37/g38/g39 in the .45 GAP. If you like the Black Talons get some Ranger SXT and shoot up that older ammo.

You could go all out and buy a new gun! A water gun! That way you would have a way to fill it with sand, or concrete if you can work out those logistics. Are you going to carry OWB when you get your plastic? I can't imagine trying to hide a paddle holster with a full size gun!

Good luck!

A bit of a spin on action, but what about a Glock? I like the the idea of pull the trigger, it goes bang. I love my 1911, my wife has a great DA/SA in a sub compact Baby Eagle, but the Glock fills a great roll as a carry gun. I recently aquired a 26 and it hides well, holds 10+1 of 9mm, very reliabl...

I see in your very near future a nice new plastic CHL license shortly after the new year......

Don't get too impatient. It helps to check the DPS website for a status change atleast 23 times a day!!

Re: Why does Taco Cabana/Katy Mills have the 30.06

Because they don't want you to carry a gun in there. Period I know that. The question is, why don't they want me to carry a gun there? You would have to ask them, but I doubt it. Well judging from their responses to letters posted on another thread in this same forum, I wouldn't expect them to be e...

He did great I am sure, but now he is catching up on his beauty sleep! Just kidding, but I am curious how it went as well. Did you use the XD for the shooting portion?
