Re: Dallas Ordering New Tough Restrictions

I work part time for FedEx, today we were all provided with a "letter". in the event of a "stay at home" order being issued, if we are stopped by LEO on our way to or from work then we are to show them the document along with our FedEx ID. The letter states that we are involved in providing an essen...

Re: Corona Virus (COVID-19)( SARS-CoV-2) from China: Its going to be bad.

Given that Chloroquine is essentially synthetic Quinine has anybody here noticed a run on Tonic Water in their local stores? I visited my Local Kroger and HEB this morning and saw that their stocks ot Tonic Water looked a bit depleted. They had much more Club Soda and Ginger Ale on the shelves eithe...

Re: TX: Robber kills man because he doesn't have any money

Well of course that is the way these scumbags think.

"Hey I came in here to take your stuff, if you don't have what I want you have wasted my time therefore you should die"

Now, all of us here know how that should really have played out.

Re: OH: Woman with own gun foils armed robbers, kills one

Interesting, returned from OH last sunday visiting my daughter who is at Wright Pat (just got promoted to Ssgt) she lives off base so I flew up with her Browning HiPower which we have been looking after since she inherited it from her G/father. Now she can feel a little safer in her appartment.

Re: thoughts on the future of political parties

So if you want a future party model. then perhaps: A party made up by Groups 1 & A (it will have a lot of money but may not get so many voters) A party made up by Groups 2 & 3 with a variable proportion of B (the more B's that can be brought in the better) A party made up by Group C and the remaini...

Re: thoughts on the future of political parties

I think we need to stop thinking in terms of the old fashioned terms of Left & Right. There are more complexities to modern politics than that. For example within the overall umbrella of the GOP you have as I see it basically 3 broad groupings. 1. What I would call the "Patrician Conservatives" toda...

Re: New 6.8 mm Round a Game-Changer for Ground Troops

All of this development just goes to prove that we should have all gone with the .280 round way back in 1951. Pity you cannot change the past, heck those decisions were taken even before I was born.

Oh so Mansfield is still around is he? I thought the old lefty activist lawyer had faded away. I guess he is trying to make himself look like still has something to say. Of course just like electric cars do more environmental damge in the production of their batteries and other components, vegans al...

Re: FWPD Sgt Doesn't know LTC law

I have lost count of the number of times I have open carried in SPECS, without at single comment from anyone. The only signs they have relate to Unlicensed Carry, therefore I see no reason to change my behaviour. I think if I were challenged by LEO I would politely inform him that I will be contact...

Re: CHL Insurance...Which Do I Choose?

The product I think you are looking for is commonly misidentified as "insurance." It is more correctly characterized as pre-paid legal services. There are several good services available. They are so different that an apples-to-apples comparison is not readily possible. All of the carriers in my ex...

Re: For those who may still be buying Nike

I just read something about the Gov in AZ withdrawing incentives that had be offered to Nike for them to relocate to his state. He says that the economy in AZ can do just fine without Nike. I do hope that Nike have now wasted some money setting up the deal.

Re: Israel Seals Off Last Hezbollah Terror Tunnel, The Largest Ever Discovered

Way back in WW1 tunnelers on each side used Stethoscopes to detect enemy tunnels and intercept them. They did this quite successfully. Surely today with more sensitive instruments it should be possible to detect digging at much longer distances and depths with even greater accuracy. Then having done...

Re: N.K. Leader fed Uncle to the dogs alive

Things are not so different than back in the 1930s. Dozens of lefty thinking libs like George Bernard Shaw and others returned from visits to Stalin's Russia saying how Uncle Joe had created a workers paradise that what so much better than depression riddled USA or Europe. What always puzzles me is ...
