Re: Quora question on why some oppose gun control
Hey! That's the way free speech is treated in UK and most of Europe so of course they will see gun control the same way.

Oh she's moving to the Cotswolds, she is going to have Jeremy Clarkson as one of her neighbors. I wonder how well they will get along. At least when she dies government will be able to enjoy taking 40% of her wealth, thanks to the new tax changes they are making

Re: British Gungrabbers working to interfere with American election
Oh Please Please Please have them send some to my part of Texas.
I just want one of them to confront me and then try to lecture me about how few people in the UK are killed by guns.
It would make my day to see their faces watching an open carrying old guy respond in an accent they are more familiar ...

Re: Iraq War veteran charged in self defense - Newton, MA
I talked this over with my wife, we both agreed on one thing, if he had CS/pepper spray on his belt in addition to a firearm then he might have been in a stronger position, especially in a Liberal State.
Lets be clear I fully support all rights of self defence and normally open carry my pistol in ...

Maybe its just a way to get the details of more people on their register more quickly so they know who to come after later, but then of course I am just an old cynic.

Re: UK: Mass stabbing of children in Yoga and dance class near Manchester
It always boggles my mind that the nation that gave us the Magna Carta, one of the roots of the 2nd Amendment, could rotate so far in the other direction, especially so soon after the blatant object lesson of WWII.....
It was the two world wars that really turned the UK leftist.
When WW1 ...

Re: UK: Mass stabbing of children in Yoga and dance class near Manchester
It's now just over 11 years since I left the UK for the last time, over those years I have had almost no desire to return, even for a short visit, those feelings are even stronger now.
Over there you can be arrested for carrying a screw driver (as it could be an offensive weapon) unless you ...

It has been 10.5 years since I left UK for the last time. I am starting to think that if I ever returned I would feel like a stranger in a strange land.

Re: Any bank recommendations?
I have open carried in Wells Fargo and American Momentum ever since open carry became legal. Back when Covid was a thing I even visted American Momentum open carrying and wearing a mask. I joked with the teller and the security guard what a strange modern world it was when a masked man with a gun ...

Re: 38 special wadcutters?
I first started using .38 spc wadcutters way back in 1975 in England in my 4" 357. As most of my experience at that time was with military ammo the did look rather strange but they were nice to shoot and reasonably priced. I must have gone through quite a few hundred rounds of them before I sold my ...

Re: UK: 3 dead 3 wounded in knife and van terror attack
So.....
Criminals can commit murder and mayhem with knives and automobiles?
They can kill without guns?
But, Bloomberg tells me that once we ban guns all crime will stop.
Could he be wrong?
Who says the criminals in UK don't have access to guns. Of course the ony police officers authorized to be ...

I have accounts at Wells Fargo and American Momentum.
I have not been to WF in a few weeks so it is possible things may have changed recently but on all my visits there since Open Carry became legal I have open carried and will continue to do so.
American Momentum is not posted and I usually open ...
