Re: First Rattler of the Season

I'm used to having to occasionally help a brown or garter out of the pool, but a couple days ago I glimpsed something crawling onto the coping with a vaguely copperhead pattern--and I spotted it from across the house. Turned out to be about 4' long, and this big boy didn't even have to slow down to ...

Re: WOW Laredo

I also don't get how simply talking results in sputum flying around. I guess if you're close enough to someone... Talking involves forcefully expelling air from the lungs. The moisture in that air carries the bad stuff. You get bigger droplets carrying further with coughs and sneezes, but there are...

Remember that the default state is for no one in the school to be carrying. Everyone wants to protect the kids, b...

I thought this was going to be about Illinois.
You're not alone. This forum seems to enjoy intentionally misleading and/or deliberately vague thread titles.

Re: California Man Mysteriously Freed After Selling Illegal AR-15s

It's not illegal (in TX) to sell an unserialized firearm that you made as long as you are not in the business of selling firearms. That doesn't make it a good idea. Definitely an interesting development, though, if the classification of an AR lower as a firearm is modified. If that takes hold, we wi...

Might be able to accomplish similar by putting the upper in the freezer for a bit. Dissimilar metals expand differently.

Re: Houston we got a problem... Live Rd jammed

Primers are not easy to chemically deactivate, and I certainly wouldn't trust an attempt to do so.

The PM will stay in the outbox until it is read, he may just not have checked them yet.
Huh. I've been active on various forums for multiple decades, and that's a new one to me. Learn something every day!

Re: HB 516 - No liability if you DO NOT post 30.06/7 signs your property

I don't think that's what this one does. Sec. 95A.002. LIMITED LIABILITY FOR CERTAIN PERSONS WHO ALLOW HANDGUNS. There is no cause of action against an owner, lessee, or manager of property based on the owner's, lessee's, or manager's decision not to exercise the option to forbid the carrying of han...

Re: Stand Alone ER's / Rip Offs or ...?

Plans are starting to impose penalty fees for using standalone ERs. The argument appears to be that you shouldn't be in an ER unless it's life-threatening anyway. If it's that bad, there's a fair chance of getting admitted or needing some service not available at the standalone ER, which means an am...

To attempt to directly answer your questions: ...and take my time building it.
