Technically they didn't START till 12-5-16 once they finally confirmed all the paperwork. The background check and fingerprints were pending for 2 weeks alone.
Wow that is awful--don't regulations say even after a letter they only have 180 days to finish? 11 months is ridiculous.

Here's my horror story:
LTC Class 3-19-16
Fingerprints 4-8-16
DPS Lost both Class form and DD-214 around 4-29-16
Emailed forms via secure email 4-30-16
DPS loses those and I don't hear about it till 8-15-16
Faxed Class form and DD-214 to DPS 9-15-16
Letter received from DPS that date not visible on ...
