Re: Just poking fun at you 1911 guys

Enough joking. Time to be serious. 1911s truly are heavy in comparison to Glock and SIG pistols. There's a reason why special gun belts exist for those who carry 1911s on a daily basis.

Re: Just poking fun at you 1911 guys

For people who normally shoot Glocks and other toy handguns, shooting a 45 ACP for the first time may result with this.

Re: Just poking fun at you 1911 guys

This is a view from the international space station of an area in West Texas that had been used as an outdoor gun range for .45 ACP shooters. That portion of the state is now unpopulated and Governor Abbott has a task force working on how the land might be reclaimed and made liveable again. https:/...

Re: California leads the way ???

That made me sick to my stomach. Literally. My insides are churning like crazy right now. Kalifornistan made my life miserable every second of every day all the way to the Arizona state line in the moving truck when I finally escaped its grasp. I'm glad I left, but I still worry that the disease of ...

I call shenanigans. That frame is too small for a 45 ACP.

Re: What are the options if someone stole my garage door remote?

:iagree: Usually, removing remotes is easy. Too easy. Ask me how I know. Typically, holding down the program button for too long will remove all remotes. Fortunately, adding remotes back in isn't all that hard. As flechero said, it is best to refer to the manual. Just keep in mind something very imp...

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

FYI, some don’t have apple capabilities to view the links. I opened both on my Windows 10 desktop. I'll see what I can do to fix the apple link and give a direct weblink. The trick is to click through the link first, then copy the web address it redirects to. FWIW, I don't have a problem with the A...

Re: Shoot Point Blank Ammo - 9mm Available

That's significantly cheaper than my purchase this morning. Midway had a 500 case of Winchester White Box for $168 shipped. I have plenty of 9mm here, but I always like to keep a set amount of safety stock because reasons. I've found that it is pretty easy to find 9mm online for reasonable prices wi...

He looks and sounds like the guy that does the active self protection videos.
That is the active self protection guy. This video is from his "extra" channel.
That explains why videos from the Active Self Protection channel started popping up in my Youtube feed.

Re: So you want to buy a firearm during a pandemic

I just checked ammo man and they have 124 grain fmj PMC 9mm at 430 dollars for 1000 rounds. That's 21.50 a box of fifty! Wow! But they do have some. I see it at about the same price at bulkammo.com. And it's in stock as well. I'm tempted to buy some just to load up on inventory, but at the same tim...

Re: Gov of TX issues mask order!?!

Time for a new governor. So, we should what, elect a Democrat to "send a message"? Vote for the Libertarian to "send a message", thereby enabling the lock-step Democrat voters to elect their candidate? Or sit this one out to "send a message", thereby enabling the lock-step Democrat voters to elect ...

Re: Gov of TX issues mask order!?!

I don't care what he orders - I'll do what *I* think is sensible. Same. As a person who has to deal with asthma on a daily basis, I will do what is best for me and others around me. I am not a monster. I am an adult who can make adult decisions in the confines of legislative and constitutional law....

Re: So you want to buy a firearm during a pandemic

I'm seeing the same thing. Nobody has ANY major handgun or rifle calibers (9mm/45acp, 223/5.56) and very little of anything else, unless it's some cheap junk ammo or big 1000-round boxes. Cabinets are bare, except for some revolvers and some high-end race guns. Every place I've been in, people have...

Re: Just poking fun at you 1911 guys

He's right about many things, though. You have to give him credit for the following: Kimber did ramp up production in the mid 2000s Ruger and Springfield do make 1911s Les Baer and Wilson do make custom firearms for a lot of money 1911s are chambered in .45 ACP 1911s have been around for a while The...
