Re: Petition to Allow Open Carry in Texas
If open carry were to pass in this state, is it intended for licensed or unlicensed people, or both? It is my understanding that in some states open carry is not licensed. I do not know if open carry will ever get to Texas, but open carry has always been legal here in Kentucky. Concealed carry came...

Re: Petition to Allow Open Carry in Texas
In country, on private land and / or with land owners permission I carry open - also in back country state and federal park primative camp areas. There is no way I would not in Big Bend primative camp areas. Not in Panther Junction, HEB, Walmart or walking down a city street where it is illegal. It...

Re: Great LEO Encounter
He was open carrying a pistol. It is legal to open carry a pistol. It was a scary looking pistol. Boo hoo. It should not be his problem that people are uncomfortable because he's doing a perfectly legal activity. He wasn't searched? I guess having to surrender his pistol to the officer for inspectio...

Re: Great LEO Encounter
I guess I'll be one of the few who think that the officer overstepped the law. He was very professional and polite about it though, I'll give him that much. I don't believe that just carrying something that looks like it might be illegal is grounds to stop, detain and search. What if he had been car...

Doesn't matter. The law applies the same to everyone in a defense shooting.Topbuilder wrote:Interesting point: would he actually be better off NOT having a CHL in this situation? I think so.

I hope he gets a good pay day out of this.
He was breaking no laws. Connecticut issues a license to carry, similar to Tennessee and Indiana, not a concealed handgun license.

Ruger MK series for me. I have a Ruger MK3 Hunter and it's a great shooter. Full stainless, 6 7/8" fluted barrel, nice wood grips.
But, I've also heard nothing but good things about the new Ruger SR22 pistol.

Re: Looking at these ear muffs... opinions?
I have a set of electronic muffs from Academy.
I like the fact that I can hear people at a normal volume, but above 80db, they shut off and muffle the gun shots.

According to my Facebook feed, it seems that anyone who ate at CFA yesterday is a mindless homophobe bigot. So going by their thinking, I will assume that anyone who supports gay marriage acts exactly like this fella. http://youtu.be/bPLNgkP9nzc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Silly question, but if you or I were to have killed the 2 K-9s, would we would be charged for killing two officers?
