Re: Our worst nightmare

My niece who graduated within the last year from Humboldt State University in northern CA (bluest of the blue universities) with a degree in environmental sciences states emphatically that California has fire problems from extremely poor preventive fire management for decades. She went into college ...

Re: Gifts for students

Some sort of small gun cleaning kit or cleaning mat? When I've taught a beginner I'd give them a laminated page of the 4 basic rules of gun handling that was small enough to fit in a small case/bag. You could see if you could work something with the gun range to give the beginner one range session -...

Muzzle control is horrendous! They'd do well to take classes on self defense around the home with coordinating more than one defender.

Re: Today’s Texas “what the hay”

Yep, loved playing with mercury from the broken thermometer. Broke some 4 ft fluorescent bulbs too (I had paid for them) just for fun to watch the glass and powder fly (and cleaned up the mess). Not long ago with the government decree of "ye shall all use curly-cue fluorescent bulbs since LEDs are n...

Re: What is privilege

My sister and step son were both born with economic privilege. One has a master's degree the other grew up on a golf course. They have amounted to a drag on society because they continue to choose to not work and one of them has used much more than his share of police resources. I won't mention thei...

Where are the women, on all sides, saying that women should have the right to defend themselves by all means possible???? Oh, yeah, they just hate gun people and firearms companies that much.

Re: CA: Mass stabbing in SoCal, 4 dead 2 wounded

Apparently now all my kitchen knives are defective too since they haven't killed anyone. Just sent my mom an email to her asking about why someone needs an AR. She thinks I should be able to defend myself but .... I will patiently explain the tools necessary to defend myself to anyone.

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

Today a coworker told me that hes so upset that Trump is visiting El Paso. Apparently he blames Trump for what happened and is offended by his visit. He's offended by the President of the United States visiting one of his States that has just experienced a tragedy. If Trump didn't go he would have ...

Re: Topographical maps

I have to admit I am getting a Garmin do-it-all watch for Christmas/anniversary/Tuesday but I refuse to let my map and compass skills lapse. My wife and I still like to backpack to places that might get us lost and certainly don't count on electronics to work.

Re: CZ P-01

I have had a P-01 for almost 15 years. I have enjoyed shooting it in recreation and competition. I like the decocking feature for a non striker fired gun. The trigger is quite smooth and mags both factory and after market drop easily. One of the nicest things is it carries easily even compared to my...

Here is my Post Mortem Analysis. Have TSRA and NRA became irrelevant in Texas? Do they need more money?? Let us raise some cash if so is the case. NRA and TSRA should spent more on Promoting and enlisting more 2ndA supporters. Demographics are changing faster than you think Time is not the friend o...

Thank you Paladin for posting this link. I've done what I can to teach my kids to have outstanding character and look out for their fellow man. My kids will be on their own after this year and I can now only call in the signals. They will watch this video.

Re: 3 beauties for sale--League City/Houston area Price Drop!

Dang! I've been looking for a light weight revolver for a few years but this model's value gets outside my price range for what I have in the coffee can. I'll keep looking at this thread and drooling.
