Re: TX looking to remove restrictions on short barrel guns
It would remove short-barreled rifles and short-barreled shotguns from the list of prohibited weapons in Texas, but those items would still be regulated under the NFA. It's probably very similar to the law a few years ago that tried to say that suppressors made in Texas, and that never left Texas ...

It would probably be easier to say who DIDN’T get money from them.Paladin wrote: Wed Feb 05, 2025 1:46 pm Guess who had USAID money “laundered” to them? Everytown For Gun Safety, of course:

Re: New Texas Speaker of the House
There was a lot of hair pulling between Burrows and Rep. David Cook. Cook was selected by the Republican Caucus, and the caucus said that the Speaker should only be chosen ONLY by the party in power*. Burrows cobbled together a coalition from both parties, and was able to get a majority of the ...

Re: Today in Trump's 1st term as President
I hope and pray that if we on the right manage to obtain all 3 branches of government in 2024 that the Republicans burn the democrat house to the ground and scatter the ashes to the 4 corners.
Democrats are perfecting their ability to win elections. I'm going to vote, but my confidence is not ...

Fight after a concert. Sounds like they had required attendees to surrender their guns at beginning of concert.
A man fired into the crowd.
It looks like the event/shooting actually took ...

Question:
Will this legislation have any impact on John Cornyn's A+ rating from the NRA?
Hmm?

Re: Uvalde School shooting
The early reports say that there were ORDERS not to go in the school. Someone gave those orders. For them to be followed it had to be the person in charge . Standard procedure is not to wait, but go in immediately. That did not happen because someone in authority gave the order.
Not that I ...

Cornyn eyes adding juvenile records to gun buyer database instead of raising the age to purchase an AR-15.
Thoughts?
If it's done in a way that doesn't dissuade kids from getting mental health help, it could be a good idea.
I know lots of kids that benefited from talking with a counselor ...

Re: Haven't seen prices this low recently
Last year, I bought 1,000 rounds of Blazer brass 9mm for trips to the range each time I saw it in the $.35/round range. Natchez has been listing it pretty regularly at $339/1,000 loose pack box. I’d much rather be paying $.16/round, but I’m afraid we won’t see princes like those for some time to come.

Re: Oscars Ratings Crash 58% YoY To Record Lows
Sorry. I think Chris's comment was low class and uncalled for. He's no hero in this sorry story. I'd feel better about Will Smith's actions if he hadn't first laughed. I can't believe there are many members on this board who wouldn't respond to some ass hat popping off about his wife's medical ...
