My two experiences (I will go back for a third on Wednesday)
Sunday Nov 30th, I entered where the Dart rail drops off at about 1400 (although I didn't take the train). I approached the guard with the want and showed my CHL, I was told to enter and see the cop in the top of the watchtower. Normally ...

Re: Beretta CX-4 Storm
I have really enjoyed mine, but then I am a self-proclaimed Beretta fan. Bought mine when it was available in 9mm using the same magazines as my primary carry weapon, the PX4. Easy to clean, reliable, and the sights are a rear peep with short and long range flip settings. Front sight is a standard ...

Re: Post Office carry...different, I promise!
The problem is, as I have pointed out many times, that firearms are NOT prohibited on USPS property. The USPS actially has written instructions as to how a firearm can be shipped. Many routinely carry concealed firearms into the post office, declare that they have them, and ship them through the ...

Re: Full Size CCW -
I was once told "carry the biggest gun that you will carry everyday" . That statement speaks volumes. I do carry a full size Beretta Px4, but many will not carry a gun that big every day. After a while it becomes easy to make excuses why not to carry. So, go with the Glock, get a comfortable holster ...

Re: I open-carried my Glock 19 today
Wait, you open-carried and had a normal, modern life experience? I mean, NO cowboys on horses?, No shootouts like at the Ok Corral? No funny Italian music playing in the background as the Wells Fargo stagecoach passes by? How is it possible that you could open-carry and not throw your state back ...

Re: offensive anti-gun Cartoon in SFA newspaper
I don't get it. I am a self-proclaimed gun nut, but this isn't offensive to me. A child burning to death in a car...offensive. A cartoon, not so offensive.

This is a "bad neighborhood". We hear gunshots in this area all the time. However, it is located just North of downtown Dallas, and many, many people drive up this stretch of I-35 (including myself) daily.

Sad news about open-carry. And I just bought Remington 1858 to begin using. Not wanting to dissapoint those that are convinced open-carry will take us back to the "Days of the Old-West".

"Since it is not a state, Washington, D.C., does not get a vote in Congress."
Agreed. Why this has anything to do with run rights makes no sence to me. I would be ashamed to know that we traded one part of the constitution for another. This should be a case where we can have our cake and eat it too.

Re: 51% sign in a non 51% business
Guys its easy to follow the law here. The argument that it isn't worth the risk doesn't hold water. Why carry at all?

Re: had to wait on NCIS check with texas CCW
I would have asked the clerk "what if the NCIS check is wrong?" The I would have walked out. If he has no faith in the validity of the Texas CHL , he would't get my business. That based on principle.

I will keep my reply very simple. I believe law-abiding citizens have the right to keep and bear arms. Whether concealed or not... That should be a personal choice, not a government requirement. I have yet to see other states that allow OC be referred to as "The Wild West".
