Re: Woke up to dog growling
Thanks for all the good information. Yes we do have an alarm but I have 2 kids (20 & 21) that are still living in the house and come home late. So the instant arm on the alarm is not a viable option. Plus I have a cat that is a nite owl and likes to roam the house while we sleep so I'm sure the IR ...

Woke up to dog growling
This morning at around 5:30am I woke up because my dog was laying in the bed and growling towards the open bedroom door. I waited just a minute to get my ears in tune but heard no movement. My wife was also up and she thought it was weird for our dog to be growling as she has never done that before ...

Re: My experience as an assault victim.....
Will,
Very sorry to hear what you experienced and glad you are ok. I do have a question for you. If you had been armed, do you think you would have had time to draw your gun as the event unfolded as it did. Sounds like you were being attacked in multiple directions during the entire event. Seem ...

I know about Charles, but I don't believe is does criminal cases? That's what my CHL instructor told me when I mentioned his name in the discussion.

Legal representation in the Houston/Galveston area?
I saw the post about legal representation in the Dallas area so I thought I'd posted asking who is good to use in my area. I live in Pearland; however, I spend most of my time away from the home in Harris or Galveston County areas. In my CHL class we did discuss legal representation as being a good ...

Re: High Caliber Gun and Knife Show
I've been twice and plan on going again. The generally have a good selection of hand guns and rifles. I purchased some ammo there in Jan and picked up 2 extra clips for my Sig P200 .45 acp. I'm probably going to do the same this time around too, but may pick up another .45 if the price is right.

Re: What is your home defense load or preference?
I keep my Sig P220 .45 handgun next to my bed loaded with Hornady 200gr Tap ammo along with a 12 gauge shotgun loaded with buck shot close by. I'm lucky in that I don't have small kids in the house so I'm hoping if the time ever came the recognizable loading of the 12 gauge will be enough to scare ...
