Re: Micro pistol finally wins me over

Welcome to the club of tiny nines. Mine is a G43, but have owned/carried a Kahr PM9 before. I prefer the Glock. I like 1911s, although I rarely ever carry mine anymore, but when I do, I carry it cocked and locked. But I would not be personally comfortable with a cocked and locked 938 in my pocket. O...

Ft Worth Gun Show 6/23, 24

I’m going to be there ....maybe Saturday, but Sunday for sure. Anybody else going? I have my eyes out for a couple of items ....maybe a Ruger PC 9 carbine, or a semiauto tactical shotgun of some kind.

Re: HAM study material

I recently purchased the Gordon West study guide and software that Charles Cotton recommended: http://www.w5yi.org/catalog_details.php?pid=82&sort=5 . Be advised that it is PC only - which I learned to my chagrin when it arrived, because I’m a wall-to-wall MAC guy. :/ Fortunately, both my son and DI...

Re: AR options for the Lefty?

Super generous offer and I'm grateful for it, but I'm down in the Ft. hood area. Besides, my wife really would prefer I don't get to shoot your SCAR... my son also has a gun crush on the SCAR! Also resent the left handed product costs but understand them. I do have a buddy with a 308 AR, mayb...

Re: West coast homeless situation

So is it the mild climate, big social net, liberal attitude, high cost of housing, greater drug use or all of these? The short answer is, “YES, all of the above”. California’s gov’t is populated with the highest concentration of dumbassas in the entire world.....seconded only by the California vote...

Re: AR options for the Lefty?

Thanks for the replies. Are there any other option I should be looking at? Anything pre set up as ambi that would make a case for not buying lefty? I’m a lefty and own several ARs - none of them left handed. I have installed ambi safety levers on all of them, as well as ambidextrous charging handle...

Re: Mosquito control - cheap

Says to keep the water level in the tube up to "fill" levels. So let me see, you hang the tube 100 feet out in the yard to attract mosguitos, great. But what what happens when you need to refill to "fill" levels when the water evaporates? Aren't the mosquitos there waiting for you when you do? :big...

Re: Reporting Multiple Sales

Are FFL required to report multiple stripped receiver sales? To answer the question a bit more directly, no, FFLs do not report multiple sales of receivers. Correct, a receiver is not a firearm so it doesn’t fall under the multiple rifle sales reporting requirements. If it is not considered to be a...

Re: "Answer, but don’t open your door" - Hsoi

BTW....sort of unrelated.....an Amazon driver dropped a package off at our house yesterday, and did something I’ve never seen before. We opened the door just after he had set the package down on the porch, and was in the middle of taking a picture of the package on our front porch - I assume for th...

Re: concealed definition

Isn’t there a definition to be found in one of the pre-LTC CHL manuals? Well, there never was a Texas definition of "in a concealed Manner" I’ll have to take your word for it. I seemed to remember that there was, but I’m not entirely certain what I had for breakfast this morning, so.......

Re: Man with gun tattoo on forehead arrested on gun charge in Greenville, police say

It may not be a fair judgement, but just going by the picture, this guy is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Plus, he has ZERO sense of symmetry. It’s a darn good thing he’s not OCD. "rlol" "rlol" "rlol" "rlol"
