Re: "Arizona style" Immigration Bill Filed in Texas

The US immigration laws are very soft and forgiving compared to the Mexican immigration laws.

Re: Scare With A De Santis Pocket Carried Bersa

Good idea-I think what I'll do from now on is keep my thumb on the hammer; that'll keep them both from moving. Still, it's good to know that a pocket holster does its job with me walking, sitting, standing, and squating for 9 hours with a cocked gun and a 5 LB trigger.

You can also keep your ...

Re: Stoeger Cougar Opinions

A friend of mine bought a Cougar 9mm and I helped him with the initial cleaning. Once we took it to the range he seemed very happy with it. I also shot 15 rounds with it and appeared to be just as accurate as my Bersa 9mm and it was easy to shoot, no harsh recoil.

It was easy to disassemble and re ...

Re: WTS heritage SOLD .22 combo 6.5 blued

Congrats.
Do you think this particular model would fit a 5 years old who never fired a gun before? I was looking for something that is single-shot, a 5-6 years old boy or girl could easily hold and fire. My son told me several times that he would like to come with me to the range but all I have is ...

Re: finally had to draw

And BTW: jtran987, I'm glad you're ok. This is a very difficult situation to deal with and not easy to balance your fear of being suddenly attacked and keep your head cool. The important thing is that you got out of the situtaion without trouble.

If I witnessed something like that I would always ...

Re: finally had to draw

With my little exercise I tried to point out that if there was a 3rd party witness who did not pay attention what the 2 would be attackers were doing but saw the OP pulling a gun and pointing it this whole thing could have easily lead to an arrest and serious charges against the OP. And guess what ...

Re: finally had to draw

Ok, we heard your side of the story!

The other night I went out to midtown (which I don’t but let’s assume). As I was walking back to my car with my friend and noticed that I had lost my car key. We started walking back looking for the key everywhere and try to find it. We spent some time trying to ...

Re: So here's a CHL holder saving the day

Im in the same boat as some. While its good to hear (and i aplaud) that the CHL/security guard decided to get involved and help another person who was being assaulted, i am curious as to what legal troubles, if any, would be present. Based on what has been provided thus far, it seems that the ...

Re: Traffic altercation leads to shooting death

"We have developed solid evidence that discredits the suspect."

These early reports can be completely erroneous, but that's not a good sign.

And he had a CHL:

Nguyen has a concealed handgun license. His family says he’s a business owner and carried the gun for protection.
