If you decide to ship it back to smith for service find an FFL dealer that will send the gun via Postal Service to them. While commoners like you and I can not send a handgun via USPS an FFL can. I've carried my M&P 9c in a K&D Dakota Defender ( http://kdholsters.com/iwb-defend.php ) for over a year. Although it has the option of being "tuckable", I rarely carry that way (but it's nice to have the option). It's been a great holster and I'd highly recommend anything Kevin makes.
