Re: Officer Invades Apartment, Shoots Resident

The Rangers did a survey, something like 23% of the residents on that floor had put their key in the wrong door. The Ranger also stated in his opinion , He thought she didn't break the law. Guyger believed she was in her own apartment, was afraid she was about to be attacked, and feared for her life...

Re: Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick attacks NRA and Supports expanded background checks

If the Republicans do this, they will hand Texas to the Democrats, and then that will be that. I'll move to Florida, drink Gin & Tonics and look at the beautiful Emerald water.

Re: "We may have to shoot down this airplane"

What frustrates me, almost 20 years later, young Americans are still fighting in the same country the attacks were allegedly planned. Is there any evidence of progress? Is there any evidence of a 'win'? With our technology, our satellites, we know where the terrorist camps are, we should use every t...

Re: Texas police officer accidentally kills woman while shooting at dog

NOTHING will happen to this LEO. A few years ago, an LEO from the same department (on probation) shot and killed a suspect who had broken into a car dealership. As a plan was being formed to corner the suspect and take him alive, the rookie walked in, alone, and wound up killing him. He was fired, b...

Re: 5 Officers Shot In Houston - Pray

First off, who was supervising these guys? The number of discrepancies in past warrants is nothing short of stunning. I doubt that will come up during the trial. Second - these two need to be tried separately. Third - I saw the chiefs presser, he still insists there was some sort of illegal activity...

Re: “Universal” Background Checks Aren’t as Universally Popular as You’ve Been Led to Believe

I had an online discussion with a gun grabber the other day about 'Universal' checks. I tried to explain, if UBC's are written in to legislation, that will end all private sales. They were very surprised to learn that privates sales don't require background checks now and in his/her opinion, they sh...

Re: FWPD Sgt Doesn't know LTC law

You guys are dreaming waiting for them to correct anything. You may beat the wrap, but you won't beat the ride. If you do get hauled downtown for something like this, you are seriously deluded if you think any sort of a large settlement would be forthcoming afterward. When government breaks the law,...

It's no wonder Fannie divorced you, she's a World Class Engineer, and you can't even get the last name of the Vice President of the United States in the headline correct - it's Pence, Michael Richard Pence.

Re: Would you shoot?

No, not a shoot situation, unless directly threatened. This is, a be a great witness situation. Call 911, describe everything, get the side streets, cross streets, the direction people are going, color of cars, everything as much as possible.

Re: After chaotic handling of Parkland, airport mass shootings, BSO loses its accreditation

If losing the accreditation won't effect the office all that much, what's the point? This is so typical. If a panel of my peers unanimously voted to revoke the accreditation for my work, that would severely impact my business. Not when it comes to government. if a govt panel votes, and says another ...

Re: VA: 13 dead at Virginia Beach municipal building shooting

A story this morning reported that the killer had some sort of altercation with other employees, then resigned via email just hours before the shooting. I work in IT, it usually takes a few days before an 'ex' is totally removed from the security badge system. Likely this person knew that like most ...

There will be no charges, no disciplinary action, nothing. Some LEO's are just as negligent when it comes to firearm safety as anyone else.
