Seems it's a great range, but the owners are complete jerks. So... decent shooting and FMJ friendly, but complete jerks for owners...

Well yes, I meant fire FMJ -through- my rifle. Obviously I won't be taking pot-shots at bullets with bullets. :P

7.62x54R just costs too much to purchase hollow point or soft point ammunition. I'm afraid FMJ is my only route at the moment, and so I just need a place to unload all this ammunition.

I was curious, is it legal for someone to purchase a handgun in Texas if they are under 21 but at least 18? I know you can't buy the ammunition but is it possible to own the handgun?

I'm a student on a very limited income to would enjoy just taking his Mosin and SKS out every so often for a good shoot, but alot of the places around here either don't allow FMJ, are too far away, or are too expensive for my taste. Some ranges would like a nice chunk of that paycheck just for me to ...

$17 an hour seems a bit steep for someone on my income.

There is one in Ponder but he says he wont take apprenticeships. I think I might ask around and see where the local smiths got their training - that's a good point. Thanks for the advice. :)
