I was visiting the June Applications board and I noticed that the two most recent CHL holders had their application processed in 74 and 60 days respectively. So it looks like our friends in the DPS are getting the staff they need from the State and things are improving! :txflag:

Congrats!!! Just shy of 6 months - wow. You must've almost passed out when you saw the status change.

I would think with the alias name a lot of us women change with marriage, it might take longer for me. We'll see!

Got my plastic today via good ol' USPS - looks like the UPS treatment is so DPS can have proof of delivery to those that involved their state Reps.

My status just recently went "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active" - so I have started the process of waiting for my plastic in the mail. I've read a few posts recently that stated some applicants have been receiving their plastic via UPS (brown trucks). Can any of you guys ...

May I ask how many counties you listed as place of residence on the application? I've lived in Lubbock, Wichita and Collin. Wondering if that is going to slow down processing.

@ Wicked - Checked my status online today and it read, "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active". Comes out to about 71 days from DPS receiving it till the time I went active.

DPS is really catching up with the backlog I think...decided to check my status today at work (which I almost never do) to make sure there wasn't an "application incomplete" status there. Really didn't expect to have it say, "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active".
