It was more like the Real Pasadena Knife and Jerky Show.
Total waste of $7.00 IMO.

Re: HGCA gunshow at Reliant Center 30.06
I attended a show there in the spring the same weekend as the Home show, and saw no posting, and there were no officers zip tying firearms. I carried in.

Re: Hobby Center?
OK, you walk out of the George R Brown Convention Center with your gun zip tied, bullets/mags in a cup, and I agree, you are rapidly approaching the one area that I would for sure be armed. How do you accomplish the reload of your magazines, and reload of your handgun while keeping it concealed ...

Re: Hobby Center?
Thanks Chas!
The insurance liability makes sense.
after waiting so long to get my plastic ,I sure didn't want to chance carrying there after seeing the 30.06 postings. i left the Glock in the truck. Next time I'll dump the mags in my pocket, and let the officers zip tie the gun. at least i'd have it ...

Re: Hobby Center?
Charles,
Maybe this has been discussed before, but I'd like to know why is it the gun shows held at the George R. Brown get posted 30.06 then?
Is the lessee or a vendor posting it?
It makes no sense to me why they are posted, when I can buy a weapon there, buy ammunition there, but can't carry ...

Re: Locking up guns around kids - security vs access
If I were you I would lock the Ammo up as well.
Your son may not be able to get to your weapons, but you wouldn't want the ammo going over to Johnny's house, in case they could get to Johnny's dads guns.
Just my $.02

Props to Houston PD while carrying.
I was hit from behind while driving today and had my carry weapon in my backpack. I never said a word to any fire or police personel

Re: Who here has a Glock 19?
I own 2. One I've had for 15 years and and one I just bought 2 days ago. The new one has Austrian Proof Marks. supposedly with a G19 shortage in the US, Glock shipped about 3,000 G19's that were for sale in Europe to fill the gap. They are popping up in stores all over the place. I figured I'd pick ...

Re: Links for gun safe info in the works
Mine sat in the office in my house where too many people could see it. My wife redecorated our bathroom to real country style, so I moved the safe to a corner of the bathroom and built a frame around it that looked like an outhouse. We referred to it as the linen closet. Sure it wouldn't slow a ...

I'm just going to tack this one on to this thread since it was "cleaning" related too.
