I use it every day, and I have a Colt 1911 .45 and I wear it with shorts or jeans, don't really have to wear a shirt as it is totally out of view.
I have to admit, you have to get used to it....or "adjusting it" when sitting, or bending over to pick something up.

That is a very good write up and review on what it's like to carry. I could identify with alot of the feelings you were having. Just as has been said before, you will get to the point that you seldom even think about it; other than watching out for those signs. (30.06 & 51%)

I am using the "smartcarry" type holster which is virtually unnoticeable.
smartcarry.com check it out....I carry a .45 ACP and it's comfortable and well concealed.

I worried about "printing" too, but I checked into the "SmartCarry" holster which is really a pouch type, that is positioned inside waistband but in front in the genitalia area. I can carry it while wearing shorts and t-shirt and not be "made".
