Re: Night Sight question...

I also have the Truglo TFO sights on my Glock 23 and love them. In my opinion, they are superior to the more standard night sights that came with my Kahr PM-40. Not only do they glow in the dark like any other night sight, but the fiber optic aspect really ups their visibility in daylight as well.

It depends on which URL you use to access the site.

Funny that this topic came up today... a friend just emailed me this one:

I don't think I'll be putting it in my yard, but it made me laugh.

Re: Best .40 S&W to carry

I have a Glock 23 and a Kahr PM40 and I carry both of them regularly since they have different strengths and weaknesses.

I love the Glock 23... It is super easy to shoot, reliable, and has a good magazine capacity. I carry it IWB in a Comp-Tac Minotaur holster. Although I find this combination ...

Open carry in San Diego

This is an interesting article about open carry in San Diego. It is actually a fairly neutral, sympathetic treatment from a reporter who knew nothing about guns.

Re: several laugh out loud moments courtesy of cnn

"I'm confused... God doesn't want us to defend ourselves?"

It takes a lot of poise and confidence to be able to handle yourself that well when being interviewed on national TV by a hostile reporter. Great post!

Re: January Applicants

Well, it's been a long time, but the time has finally come to say "adios" to the waiting room. CHL arrived in the mail today after 152 days of waiting and emails to both my senator and representative.

Time to get that renewal in the mail!

Re: Is there anyone to contact about a Harris Co BG Check?

DPS cashed my check on 2/2/09 and I have had no glitches with the paperwork, fingerprints, or anything else. I have contacted both my senator and representative who have in turn called DPS, and DPS has subsequently called me to tell me they are "expediting" my application.

Despite these efforts, I ...

What facade? Why do you not think this will help? What changes would you suggest?

Chas.

I sure hope it will help. It does appear that the background checks are the worst bottleneck, so it is targeting an important step in the process. I'm now up to 123 days of waiting, with almost 100 of those ...

Heller not incorporated against states

In the challenge against the Chicago handgun ban (NRA v. City of Chicago), the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled against incorporation of the Heller decision against the states:

Alarmingly, it appears that laws against lethal self defense could ...

Re: What Political Party should I support ?

I would be terrified to see a Constitutional Convention right now. Who would get nominated to go? Pelosi? Reed? Frank? Dodd?

If they got to start over with a clean slate, who knows that would happen.... :confused5

Agreed, it is not without inherent dangers, but I've not seen any other ...

Re: What Political Party should I support ?

Speaking of what to support, take a look at this op-ed from the WSJ, as well as the follow up article in Forbes. This constitutional law professor from Georgetown is suggesting that instead of enacting "sovereignty resolutions" as has been done, for example, in Texas and Montana, the states should ...
