Use that to follow the forum. Ignore the thread titles that don't interest you. They will eventually disappear. Forget about subforums or sections unless you want to start a new thread. What's ironic about this is that it seems to me that it's the next best thing to proof that what I'm saying is ri...

I know this looks like an attack on the site and the site designer, but that's not how I intended it. I just continue to find it a bit cumbersome to poke through a ton of subforums, some of which appear to be duplicates. If there is a section I don't want to read, I don't have too... The problem I t...

Gonna bring this up again...

I visit forums with literally millions of posts, thousands of active members and some of them have a third fewer subforums in spite of the fact that they are GENERAL forums. This is a very specific forum--why it has so many subforums simply blows my mind. It seems that it would be confusing for a ne...

Ask the State Fair. Here's what they told one instructor I know. "A person holding a valid concealed handgun license is permitted to enter onto State Fair property with his/her concealed handgun. Licenses will be examined at the entrance by an authorized security supervisor. Handguns will not b...

Did a one year study a few years ago on a stretch of highway that I was driving daily. I was covering the same stretch at roughly the same times in two directions each day. I plotted sightings of DPS officers, Sheriff/Deputies, and Local LE cars on this stretch of road. Sheriff and Local sightings s...

I'm not intending to start a "word war" but unless it is a mechanical failure of the pistol I don't see how you could have an accidental discharge of a pistol that is not "negligent". You won't get any argument from me on this score! But they didn't ask me. Of course, the real i...

We WOULD be charged... I work with a person who discharged a pistol in a hotel room and killed the occupant in the next room. He is NOT and LEO and he was NOT charged. There was a civil suit, but no criminal charges. If the shooting is ruled accidental but not negligent, there are no charges filed ...

(Making the assumption based on your username that you are female.) Women may need to explore different options for concealed carry since their body shape may not lend itself to the same things that work well for men. I recommend trying to find a female firearms trainer and see if she has some help...

I believe that the Tarrant County DA (Fort Worth) has also made public his intent to continue prosecuting otherwise law-abiding motorists for having handguns in their vehicles.

Dallas Museum of Art is posted.
That must be a relatively new development. I was there a couple of years ago and there was no sign at all as I recall, let alone a compliant 30.06 sign.

Born out of the country?

If so, you should consider including some documentation of your citizenship status. According to the letter DPS sent me, the following things are acceptable documentation. "copy of U.S. passport" "copy of U.S. certificate of birth abroad" "evidence of a citizenship or natura...

Spent about a week with the in-laws who know I'm a "gun nut". They figured out my wife was carrying--because she TOLD them.

They never figured out that I was carrying IWB strongside even though they never saw me without a gun.

It's never as obvious as you think it is.
