Re: FFL transfers in Plano, Frisco, Allen, McKinney
Wanted to give another thumbs up to Tom Hart. I had never bought a gun online before and was intimidated by the process. Tom took the time to explain the process to me and walk me through what I needed to provide for him. He's been very responsive and quick on getting that info to the vendors and I ...

Ranges that allow tannerite?
Are there any outdoor ranges in the D/FW area that allow the use of tannerite targets? A friend of mine is coming from out of town and told me he had gotten a hold of some and wanted to try them out.

Re: April 2009 Applications
Just dropped by, hoping to see this list disappear into the dustbin of history, but oh well.
Haven't done an official Wally Walk yet, although I have been in one for a quick errand.

Re: April 2009 Applications
Hm... I just logged back in and now it says "Processing Application" again. Very strange...
Perhaps I went to the wrong site as you guys say; regardless, it looks like I'm back where I started. Hopefully the email I sent won't confuse them.

OK update, and not for the better. Going onto the site, I get:

Re: April 2009 Applications
Mine was received in Austin on or about April 25th (been so long, I might be off by a day or so), and the online status is still "Processing Application". Haven't called yet (not really my thing to be impatient).USA1 wrote:the April bunch has been quiet lately.

Re: recoil of 12 gauge vs 20 gauge
They were mostly the same for me.
I went to a Defensive Shotgun class a few weeks ago, and there were only 2 in the class, including me (was a weekday class). I was using a Mossberg Maverick 88 (equipped w/ a collapsable M4-type stock), 18.5" barrel; other person was using a Remington pump-action ...

Re: April 2009 Applications
My app still says "Packet mailed to Applicant". When I mailed it, I sent it w/ confirmed tracking, so I know the packet was received on April 24. I filled the app out online, so I got my PIN when they mailed me the app, but apparently they haven't started on my packet yet (fingerprints/photos/class ...

Did he say there are only THREE G18C's in the country? That can't be right...May be he meant there are only three that are transferable. I've never seen a transferable G18 but I've handled and show two dealer's sample G18s owned by an FFL in the Austin area. Idunno...Just seems terribly unlikely ...
