I figured there had to be SOME reason people would get a TX CHL when a Utah one is so much less expensive, easier to get, and easier to maintain. I'm in Indiana and it costs $75 for a lifetime license to carry handgun and all it takes is a 10 minute trip to the local LE office to get fingerprinted ...

Thanks, if this really is true, I will probably recommend he just get a UT permit since it is much easier and cheaper to obtain.

I don't live in TX, but am trying to find an answer for a relative of mine who does.
I know TX honors the Utah non-resident permits, but do they honor them if the holder is a TX resident without a TX CHL?
