I travel i-45 a lot to see family on the coast and those have been there for a while now. They are ALWAYS going. No matter when you drive by someone is always operating them.

The Fort Worth Zoo is posted as well...and their land is owned by the city of fort worth. They lease the land from the city of ft worth and they post a 30.06 sign. I know some malls have 30.06 signs posted at every entrance to the parking lot. Is it illegal to bring your gun into the parking lot and keep it in the car? Or do those signs only apply to carrying "indoors" or beyond "checkpoints" when outdoors?

Well, per the instructor in my course, it's kind-of a catch-22 situation. He said it was a felony under the "51" rule until they said that you were allowed to if it didn't have a 30.06 sign.

A non-CHL doesn't have to tell a LEO he/she is armed, but don't lie if asked. This is a minor point, but an armed CHL only has to show the CHL to a LEO, they don't also have to say they are armed.
