It’s a big slowish .45. It shoots softer than a .40, a little harder than a 9mm, but different than both. I also think it is easier to shoot than my little snubby .38 special.
I find a .45acp is more of a shove than a snap.
:iagree: That’s a good way to describe it.

Re: Glock 21 (.45 cal.) Own One?

I have a gen-3 SF version. It shoots good. Not as good as my Colt GC, but good. I also have a 30SF, still carry the 21SF the most because I got a Safariland 7TS holster for it that will accommodate a TLR-1 light attached. When I find the time to do a match I use this gun. It’s a big slowish .45. It ...

Re: A Bad Fall

Carl, a good man, I think He has already looked out for you. A fall like that for many of us could be really bad news. For a man of your stature to come out without any broken bones is a miracle or as close to one as you can get. Do what your doc says and any rehab necessary to heal properly so you ...

Re: 30.06 Ruling Letters

As a reminder, the AG and the City of Austin meet in a hearing/trial on this coming Monday, 17 Sep, at 0900 in the 261st District Court in Travis County (Austin). I would like to go sit in on that, but really can't afford to take the time off. If there's anyone here near Austin with time to go, it ...

Re: EDC Gun Maintenance

Ya'll must have some sensitive guns. :biggrinjester: I've carried Glocks for many years now and shot each of them in matches without any failures due to the gun. I limp wristed one once when switching to off hand and the case didn't fully eject. Cleared easily, continued, and finished the stage. Pri...

Re: Carry rules for non CHL citizens

The way I interpreted the law was that it was legal for me to carry it on my person concealed and without a licence only if: You're at home or on your property. Leaving your home and going directly into your vehicle. Inside your vehicle. Leaving your vehicle to go directly into your business or pro...

Re: I got busted today...

I'll probably choose to open carry my pistol anyways since I hate IWB holsters. What? IWB is not the only way to carry concealed. I've been doing it OWB since I got my license around 16 years ago. Also, CHL is no more in Texas since open carry passed. It changed over to LTC and all of us with CHL l...

Re: Carry rules for non CHL citizens

Without an LTC, you can have a loaded handgun in your vehicle if: -The gun is NOT on your person FALSE -The gun is concealed from view with all four of the vehicle's doors open FALSE - no open door requirement Therefore, keeping the gun in the glove box or a bag is totally legal. Even keeping it on...

I wish they wouldn’t identify the shooter/victim like that. This guy is going to be inundated by the media and all kinds of people good and bad. He’s gonna need help.

Re: Fixed Blade Knives

Now I have a new problem. In less than a month I've acquired three new knives. The first one was that little Obake Skoshi. I fixed it up with some paracord and carry it around my neck under my shirt. I haven't tried it on my belt or IWB as it is intended yet, but that may be coming. Especially in li...
