usurp31, I strongly suggest looking at brands: Ecco & Mephisto.
Eccos are easier to find and available online. They also have some stores in outlet malls such as the San Marcos one. I've got some real good deals there. Both are european sized. Both are expensive, but priceless.

Re: Making a Murderer: is anyone watching it on Netflix?
Coincidentally, we just watched episode 1 last night. I avoided reading your complete post as to avoid any spoilers. So far interesting story. I hope it's not a matter of leftist twisted facts to make a good story though.

Re: DIY retention strap
Right, stitching is what I had in mind, I don't want any metal rivets in there.
I just did some stitching for the first time on an old leather holster, to turn it into a pocket holster. And it turned out dandy.

Re: DIY retention strap
I too have a leather OWB I want to add a strap to.
I recently learned that Tandy Leather has free classes that will help you with projects like this.
I'm going to go that way or contact the seller. I got it from mojo leather via this website and see if they can add one on. Excellent holster by ...

TAM, check out Ontario's Fixed Blade Knives. I highly recommend any of them, made in the US, in biz since around 1900.
IMHO the go to for affordable & quality + US made w/lifetime warranty.

Re: ammo on sale
Bass Pro opened a new location in Round Rock next to the outlet mall on Wed.
I figured if I got there when they first opened, I might have a chance at finding some 22lr. Not only did they have many boxes of 22, but a variety to choose from. 2 box limit, got 2 Federal 525 rnds.
Repeated the same on ...

surprise_i'm_armed, I saw the ad's pop up window with the "17 round, 9MM Smith and Wesson magazine is $39.99" you asked about.
That is the one sold for the fullsize M&P. However it does work in the compact and you can get one of the x-grips that fills the gap so you have a full size grip. I have two ...

Re: WTB M&P 9mm barrels and mags.
I am no expert, but this is shared and established info I obtained from more than one of the large S&W forums and the same subject continues to be active. And I understand not needing a match barrel, neither did I. But you DO need a conversion barrel. If you had oem 9mm barrel you would see the ...

Re: WTB M&P 9mm barrels and mags.
For the fullsize, you need to get a conversion barrel (covert to 9). Storm lake is the manufacture I recommend. I have one that works great.
I don't have a shield but I have read that the oem 9mm works fine.
