Trump with his pen, signs executive action to limit refugees from countries with terrorists unless they are from a religious minority group.
For some reason, refugees from religious minority groups, were denied admission into the US under the previous administration.
Today is one full week in office. Five working days if you start on Monday. Liberals are wondering what hit them. No doubt they wish their previous President had been as hard working. We of course can be thankful in 8 years, he didn't really get that much done except trips to Hawaii and golf.
Trump met with May the PM of the UK today. (her name makes for interesting reading comprehension) From my listening to the Today show this morning, who seemed to leave the UK visit out, it was all about yesterday when Trump said he would add a 20% tariff on imports from Mexico to pay for the wall after the President of Mexico declined to visit Trump as planned. The Today show had on Fox the former President of Mexico to say Trump was evil. Of course this would not be considered a mainstream news source using a foreign government to attempt to sway public opinion against the President. All the Boston newspaper could come up negative about this was that this tariff would raise the price of guacamole and some beer. Telecommunications magnate Carlos Slim called Trump a “great negotiator".
The Vice President appeared at a right to life rally in the Capital, a first for any sitting vice president.
Here is a recap of today by CBS.

“To better inform the public regarding the public safety threats associated with sanctuary jurisdictions, the Secretary shall utilize the Declined Detainer Outcome Report or its equivalent and, on a weekly basis, make public a comprehensive list of criminal actions committed by aliens and any jurisdiction that ignored or otherwise failed to honor any detainers with respect to such aliens,” the order reads.
It just gets better and better.

This article is about freezing grant money the EPA sends to research global warming among other things.
Today he ordered the wall be built and increased enforcement of the border. In addition he banned refugees with the exception if they are from religious minorities from the country they are coming from.
This is really only day three.
My liberal Facebook friends are in shock and denial still thinking their little march on Sunday was important.
Elections have consequences. It's Christmas every day.

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
His fourth full day in office, with his pen:
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/01 ... s-say.html
Keystone pipeline is revived.
Eight years ago my son worked for a non-union pipeline construction company. His company was low bidder on the Texas section of the pipeline and was told they had the project.
Obama told the ownership consortium that they had to use only union workers on the entire pipeline or he would not approve it. His company was not awarded the construction contract and he lost a job he really enjoyed.
He became a life long Republican after that.
Obama eventually broke his promise to the ownership consortium and never approved the pipeline even though they met all of his requirements.

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
From Trump's facebook page:
"Earlier today I signed three executive orders:
1. Withdraw the U.S. from the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP.)
2. Reinstate the Mexico City Policy dealing with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and abortion access.
3. A complete freeze on federal workforce hiring - with the EXCEPTION of our United States Military."
From the Daily Caller: I believe he was appointed on Saturday so this is Sunday.
"Newly minted Secretary of Defense James Mattis celebrated his first full day at the Pentagon by overseeing 31 strikes against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. Mattis entered the Pentagon Saturday with a smile for his first full day of work, and for good reason, considering the significant bombardment ISIS forces received. A variety of fighters, bombers and remotely piloted aircraft engaged in the bombing run, which saw 25 strikes in Syria and six in Iraq. In Syria, two strikes destroyed ISIS units and artillery near the town of Bab. ISIS forces in Raqqa, the terrorist group’s de facto capital, took a heavy beating, as 22 strikes destroyed 12 tactical units, nine fighting positions, two underground improvised explosive bomb factories and an ISIS headquarters. The final strike targeted two ISIS oil wells in Deir ez Zour."

Today in Trump's 1st term as President
Not only are we leaving Obama's term behind, but we are entering a new era as President Trump takes office today.
I believe we will see the attack on gun ownership by the Executive branch stop.
I believe we have hope for a national standard for Concealed Carry Licenses which will allow unfettered licensed concealed carry in all 50 states.
I believe we have hope for lower ammunition prices.
I believe I have hope that I will sleep better at night.
God Bless America.
