Re: Concealed carry in a school parking lot
Ok, that clarifies it all. I've checked with the school district handbook, and it states:
Employees, visitors, and students are prohibited from bringing firearms, illegal knives, or other weapons onto school premises or any grounds or building where a school-sponsored activity takes place.

Concealed carry in a school parking lot
Is it legal to have a pistol in the car while I'm working at school? I know that I can't carry it inside, but I'm not sure what the law says about it being in the parking lot. If you could provide the actual penal code that addresses this, I would very much appreciate it.

Re: Is this sign valid?
The sign they had contained the same wording as the sign in that thread, but it did not have the big red "51%" in the background, nor did it have a sign in Spanish.

Re: Is this sign valid?
No, it definitely said "Licensed or unlicensed". I did a double take because I don't ever remember seeing a sign like that before. I've seen the ones that say only "unlicensed possession" many times before. I went ahead and carried anyways.

Is this sign valid?
Last night I went to the Fox and Hound Pub and Grill. They had a sign inside the front door on the wall that said something like "The licensed or unlicensed possession of a handgun on these premises is subject to $10,000 fine and blah blah blah...."
This sign did not mention the 51% rule at all ...
