Re: Stolen gun and.... wait for it...

Teamless, Take a close look at your door locks. What they do now is to jamb a flat-bladed screwdriver in the key slot and then twist it with pliers or a wrench. It breaks the lock internally and the only sign it ever happened is that the key slot is mangled. Thanks PawPaw I will check when I return...

Re: Stolen gun and.... wait for it...

My daughter was killed by a gun stolen out of an unlocked vehicle so excuse me if I am among those that consider not knowing where firearms are or leaving them accessible to others not authorized to have access as reckless and irresponsible. I am sorry for your loss. Understand: Do I sound HAPPY my...

Re: Stolen gun and.... wait for it...

I have no idea how or when or where it was taken :banghead: Knock your head as long as you want to Do you inspect every gun you own every day? Would you know if a tool was missing from your toolbox if you have not opened the tool box in a week? Is your high horse, high enough where you know all?

Re: Stolen gun and.... wait for it...

Do you have an idea when it might have gotten taken? Not assigning blame because I sure know I've had moments where I've left my car unlocked all night long (thankfully without anything of value in it). No idea. Very strange - never had a clue my truck had someone inside looking for things ...

Stolen gun and.... wait for it...

Ok, today I head to HEB after work and reach in my arm rest for my Bodyguard .380, and it’s missing... Of course I start to think, “when did I have it last”, “did I leave it in the range bag”, did I put it in the house safe” and of course “was it stolen” Last I remember putting it in my back pocket ...

Re: No 51% sign in a 51% establishment...

Coulda fooled me. I'm under the impression if it's a bar selling booze for immediate consumption or a parallel - you can't carry. Or, am I being too simplistic? Thus, I'm not bothered by no 51% sign as I pretty certain my above regarding gin mills is on the money. Of course, it's a moot point for m...

Re: Event outside of a bar

Also assuming if the "bar" is 51%
Im not being sarcastic, but some "bars" are not 51%... Bar Louie, Baybrook Mall for example is not. (Bar Louie in other locations are)

Re: Poker Room

At the one in Clear Lake area, several people carry there (so a couple of my friends who go there tell me)

Some carry openly

My only concern, from a legal point, is that I believe the statute talks about “paramutual” betting - and if so, I would think that a poker room would meet that definition

Re: Houston Folks: PSC Range Day after Christmas?

I go to PSC just about every weekend & I have put up an invite several times but no takers yet, if anyone wants to go just pm me. Same for me, I have offered many times, no takers. Now however, my weeks are hugely busy and my weekends have been too busy doing my weekday stuff that I couldn't finish...

Re: Sig Mosquito or Walther P22?

Mosquito only likes CCI ammo

P22, with the short barrel, is finicky to cycle properly all the time, with other than CCI ammo
If you get the P22 and then the extended barrel, it will eat all ammo easily

As you would be carrying as a private citizen under your LTC authority, the answer would be no.

Re: Jury duty in Houston tomorrow

I have served on six jury's, everything from a civil trial to a capital murder trial. I ALWAYS get picked. I am a Marine, retire Delta Pilot and a Paramedic. I just don't understand why I get picked. I answer their questions honestly but to the point. I try to look bored and totally non-caring. I s...

.... the refusee, if you will, then has their vehicle towed away and impounded while the L.E.O. gets a search warrant. You are then left to walk home or call your spouse to come get you, a cab, a friend, etc. In my opinion this is an abuse of power. Let them TOW my vehicle My lawyer (I don't have o...
