The Hickory Creek (Denton County) WM has just installed some interesting gates inside the store. I guess they don't open OUT, so that shoplifters can't exit with carts full of stolen goods. They DO allow you to enter the store with your cart. Has anyone else seen these in their local WM's? Interest...

And I have to wonder about the reason for item #2. If the question can be left unanswered by offering some "other" options then what is the true point of the question? Whenever I see a box labeled "Sex" on any form, I try to fill in "I LIKE". *shrug* I must be getting older. I would write," depends...

Re: Poll. Will you be watching the Super Bowl and Why?

I have this favorite bowl that we serve beef stew, chili or matzah ball soup in. Is chili a soup? If I eat chili out of it is it still a souper bowl? How about gumbo? Is chili appropriate fare for any given Sunday? Yes, as long as you don't put beans in it! If you like beans in your chili that's fi...

Actually the best thing you can do on Super Bowl Sunday is to go "GO FLYING". The skies are practically empty.

Re: Weird electrical issues at my home!

I'm just talking about the gfci not the possible lightning or surge problem. If a gfci outlet trips and something goes out other than that what is required to be protected by it then it is wired incorrectly. Is it dangerous? No but it's a nuisance. Sometimes this is done intentionally as an alert t...

Re: Weird electrical issues at my home!

Mother Nature doesn't follow electrical "rules". We had a lightning strike about 35 years ago and many weird things happened. One ceiling fan had "high" only. One cordless phone would work but could not dial out. One VCR, blown fuse. One TV, horizontal output diode blown. Yard lights would not turn ...

I renewed 6 months before expiration. Received new plastic 15 days later.

You must have current LTC "in hand" to carry.

Nothing new here. Just in case you're not old enough to remember, at one time California tried to outlaw the internal combustion engine itself.

Our justice system is seriously screwed up, which is another reason to never, ever let the government take away law abiding citizens firearms. :mad5 :banghead:
It’s a legal system not a justice system.
Actually it IS a justice system. The name is "The Criminal Justice System".

Don't remember which channel I heard it, probably CBS, stated that earlier this year the law was clarified. Not a new law passed.

Why am I flashing back to the "toll booth" in Blazing Saddles?
LOL. That movie probably can’t be played on TV any more. Kinda like Disney’s “Song of the South”.
It IS still played on TV, but the edited version is much shorter and moved WAAAAY down on the "funny scale".
