All of MY books give measurements in 0.001's; that is thousandths!
Both or my calipers measure in thousandths and if they are off by a
thousandth or two no big deal.
But luckily MY loading manuals indicate most OAL differences in 0.010,
or ten thousandths. So there is a bit of an allowance built ...

Re: Saxet Gun Show In San Antonio
Looks like Saxet has a new location for shows in San Antonio. It's at the Freeman Coliseum on east Houston, just south of Fort Sam. I've been by there in the past but have never been inside and don't know really how big it is.
It looks like it's a much larger place than the Al Shazzam hall and ...

Re: Where can I get a IWB holster for this?
CMP came through. Delivered the day before my birthday! Though, I'm sure that wasn't planned. It was still perfect timing. She was made in Nov. 1940!
Oh man, am I jealous! I've wanted on of those since I was a boy. And that was a long time ago!
Congratulations! She's a beauty.

I will try carefully resizing and trimming about 100 cases, load them similar to the ones that had issues and check it out at the range again. Sounds like this may be the cure.
I will look into getting some headspace gauges if there are further problems. Do you suggest GO, NO-GO, and FIELD gauges ...

Reload a rifle cartridge say...45-70
And I decided on the bullet, say...405 gr. semi-jacketed soft-nose point...
I have the brass saved...
What would be the last two items recommended that would complete getting the rounds reloaded...I can get the press, and the associated dies to work it...

In my limited experience as a reloader, I've found that the cases must also be trimmed before the operation if using a crimp. Everytime I've resized after trimming, the case buckles below the neck when I crimp. If I resize it and then trim, the crimping operation is flawless. Obviously, resizing ...

Re: confused about trimming cases
Currently, being new at reloading, I am trimming cases 100%. I know it's not necessary, but I am working on consistency until I feel more comfortable. However, I'm not sure where in the cycle that trimming takes place.
