Re: "Special Designation" Licenses

I would think a LEO would not want the designation on the LTC. That way if they were working undercover or got asked why they were carrying and didn't want them to know they were a LEO, then they would have a cover story. GC §411.198. LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER ALIAS HANDGUN LICENSE. (a) On written ap...

Re: IN: Woman kills officer's attacker, now getting sued

I have friends who are lawyers, and they do have some morals. Mostly they are in tax and patent law. When the argument is made that the lawyer is loyal to the client at all costs for the most aggressive representation, then for good or bad there is a similarity to prostitutes. The opinion or judgem...

Re: Civil Immunity in Self Defense Cases

I suspect that will be hard to find. CPRC §83.001 is so clearly defined that I expect few attorneys would take such a lost cause case.

She is publicly run out of the restaurant because of her official position, so she uses her "official" twitter account to publicly report it to the world and that's a problem?

It sounds like typical Progressive Ethics.

Re: Taxing Online Ammo Sales

I don't think this is really going to be a major problem. Someone will establish a service that will interface with a vendor's e-commerce site, calculate the tax, and feed it back to the e-commerce site. Periodically, this new service will send the appropriate info back to the vendor so they can dis...

If he head butted someone, would that be an assault with a deadly weapon?

I’m so sorry for that one.
Actually, it would be "assault with a head-ly weapon". :biggrinjester:
I was thinking, "assault with a dead weapon."

If I had done it, it would have been on I-35 Southbound.
Don't you mean northbound out of Austin or San Antonio? Or on any highway outbound from any of our major cities?
Nope... I-35 Southbound. They can stop after they pass through Laredo.

HERE ARE THE PHOTOS OF OBAMA’S ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT DETENTION FACILITIES THE MEDIA WON’T SHOW YOU Photos of border detention facilities from the Obama-era, taken during 2014, look nearly identical to the ones taken during the Trump era. You never see them, however. Here they are, taken in 2014 during ...

Re: Links for gun safe info in the works

Probably 6 to 8 inches between the beams at least. The cables were held up about 1" above the moisture barrier before the concrete was poured. That would mean the cables are at least 4" from the top surface of the slab. The anchors they used were probably 1-1/2" long and certainly no more than 2". ...

Re: Hearing damage +P

Don't play games, folks. Protect your hearing because once it's gone... it's gone.

I'm lucky in that the VA provides hearing aids for me. Without help, you can easily spend $6,000 + for devices that help but can't replace what has been lost.

Re: Colorado Dem candidate pepper sprays himself video

I hate to say it, but he does have an interesting point. Why can’t teachers that don’t wanna carry a gun carry pepper spray or bear spray? Cheap and effective And before you say it, SOMETHING is better than nothing! To borrow one of the left's very overused terms, it should be about empowering each...
