Re: Officer Accidentally Fires Gun Inside High School

Just guessing, but it sounds like he was attempting to disassemble a striker fired handgun that had no safety and required pulling the trigger for disassembly. While there is no excuses for not emptying and inspecting the chamber, some guns are safer than others.

Re: Fort Worth Zoo vs. Texas State Fair

The city doesn't manage either location. I believe we (on the forum) concluded that if an entity leases property owned by the city, then the entity can post 30.06/30.07 signs but the signs are not enforceable. So, why is the Fort Worth Zoo's 30.06 sign enforceable? And, to add more to the discussio...

Re: Ruger announces new .40 cal PC Carbine model

.40 cal makes sense, it just requires a few changes from 9mm. The 9mmor .40 would work better for me, than .45 because of the higher velocities and flatter ballistics. Some people like Rugers, because of their Value. A lot of gun for the money. The PCC is a very good gun for the money. A pistol cali...

I typed out “W-T-F” but the board’s auto censor changed it to “what the heck.”
The autocensor has its brain in the gutter.

If fail to do so you'll likely be arrested and charged with Obstruction. You "can" beat the charge, but you probably won't beat the ride. If they truly suspect you of committing a crime but lack real probable cause/RAS they will look or provoke you until they find one. I don't like bowing to tyrant...

Re: TX: In Houston some people prefer hammers

I moved out to Richmond... Fort Bend County went almost entirely Democrat the last election. We may not be that far behind. At least Sheriff Nehls doesn't coddle criminals but I'm not sure how well the rest of the justice system is going to fare. The blue is spreading like rot. Fort Bend County tod...

Re: US Army selects new 9mm

PSD military personnel " require weapons with greater lethality than pistols that are more concealable than rifles," the ACC special notice posted in August stated. "The ultimate objective of this program is to acquire a highly concealable Sub Compact Weapon (SCW) system capable of engaging threat ...

Re: Shooting at Twin Peaks in Waco

I suspect it's hard to discern friendly fire from bad guy fire. There has to be some bad actors involved. No chance everyone is innocent. There is also no chance that everyone that was arrested and held for months on $million bail were guilty. Or that all the LEO were acting responsibly. Incidents ...

Re: Should we abolish the Electoral College?

What would make things more fair is to assign electoral votes by district. Each district gets represented by one vote, The state gets two votes for the majority. The winner not taking all. Of course most of us like it that Texas is a winner take all state. Gives us a lot of influence,

Re: Bonnie and Clyde walk into a BAR...*

I can’t believe both of their funerals drew over 10,000 people each. People back then hated banks, Many people perceived the banks as a bigger threat to their lives and livelyhood than gangs. They were blamed for the Great Depression and destroying businesses farms and ranches. I think a lot of peo...

Technically anyone who was in the armed forces during the Viet Nam war is a Viet Nam vet. I was in the service at that time but never left the USA and I don't consider myself a Viet Nam vet but technically I am. My best buddy at the time went to Thailand unofficially. I personally don't consider my...

Okok. Thank you all for the information. Washington had us fingerprint at the police station for which I turned in my license application. No extra fee charged. What about if I have previously used identgo for fingerprinting for TSA pre-check. Would those prints be accessible for use? Nope. As was ...
