My first time out tonight while carrying consisted of going to Chili's to meet with the florist for our wedding. :cryin
Really didn't feel weird though. I think I had worn the gun around the house and worn the holster out in public without my CW that it just kind of feels normal now. I'll have to ...

Re: I spotted one!...
I think that logic does carry over to strangers we encounter on the street. The people who go to the same public venues as you are probably more like you demographically (race, age, income, criminal history) than a random person picked from the phonebook simply because similar people tend to go ...

Re: Thinking about buying the Nikon D5000... thoughts?
I don't think the D90 is worth it unless you have older Nikon lenses and need an in body motor (the D5000 does not have in body motor, so you have to buy lenses that have the motor in them).
Yeah, its not worth buying the best rated DSLR in it's class, what was I thinking......... :roll ...

Re: Thinking about buying the Nikon D5000... thoughts?
Hey yall,
I'm in the market for a new digital camera and I'm thinking about going with the Nikon D5000 DSLR.
The total price with tax would come to $744 at Best Buy.

Re: August 2010 Applications
Oh, and on a bit of a side note, I applied for a change of address on my driver's license just a few days before the DPS received my CHL paperwork. I still have not received the new DL... wonder if my CHL will beat it? That would be truly remarkable/sad..

Re: August 2010 Applications
I hope my timeline stays at a week to 10 days behind you.
Good luck!
I was surprised to see the "Mailed" status so soon after the background check cleared. Maybe I got lucky and they were sending a group over to the printers right before mine was complete. I really wish the DPS would clear up ...

Well I was thoroughly surprised to log onto the DPS CHL system and see that my status had switched to "Mailed"!! :anamatedbanana
I guess I'll be a sub 30 day turn around too..

Re: I spotted one!...
It depends on your profession. It looks like computer and engineer types are more likely to be CHL holders who post on this forum and vote in some woman's poll than any other types. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case in real life, too. I'll go ask in the poll thread if it is the ...

Class 8-21
Hand delivered 8-23
Change in status online 9-1
I'm in the final stretch I guess.
I'd say the "final stretch" is after your background check clears. Hopefully yours will go the way of mine and a few others recently and be finished in a matter of 2 or 3 weeks instead of ...
