Here is what Andy Arratoonian--a holster maker for 32 years--has to say on the subject:

Thanks for the link! That was an interesting perspective. I haven't noticed my horsehide wearing any faster than the cowhide ...

Re: Horsehide vs. Cowhide
I have a horsehide and a cowhide supertuck holster. To be honest, I haven't noticed much of a difference in either one. I'll probably just order cowhide from here on out.

Re: Ruger BX-25 magazine
Yeah, I ordered one from Midway a couple of weeks back. These are really well made and seem to be very reliable so far. Midway is also running some really good deals on Leupold scopes right now. I picked up a shotgun scope to put on my lever action .44 mag and it's a perfect match.

Re: Detained by TSA
The TSA is considered law enforcement officers?--then why don't they act like it.
These guys (the TSA) seem to think that they fall outside the rules and regulations that bind a law-enforcement officer. When was the last time you heard of a police officer pulling over a car, for no reason ...

Re: Detained by TSA
Just to show that this group is not unanimous here, if I were a TSA agent with the statutory auhority this person no doubt had, and a passenger approached me with the attitude you have admitted to, I would have done exactly the same thing as was done to you. No question in my mind about this. You ...

Re: The New Ruger 77/357...thoughts on this?
I have a Ruger police sniper riffle in .223. It is a tack driver. Less than 1 minute of an angle groups at 100 yards. Heavy barrel,bi-pod, great gun.
What exactly is a Ruger police sniper rifle?
While I really enjoy all of the Ruger's that I own, Ruger isn't known for producing very accurate ...

Re: The New Ruger 77/357...thoughts on this?
Personally, I don't see much of a market in the bolt action hand gun calibers (i.e. 44 mag, .357 mag, etc...), but that's just my opinion. It would seem that a semi auto carbine or the lever action would have made more sense. I guess time will tell if it is a success or not.
With that being said, I ...

Wow, that's scary but I'm glad the officer won the upper hand.

Re: WTT WTS Marlin 882ss & Ruger Single Six
If you weren't so far down south I'd jump on it. I miss my single six with it's nice El Paso Saddlery rig. Lost along with several other arms years ago when my house was broken in to. So sad. :???:
