Re: Why we carry, one more reason, escalating terror.
Since the Brits have no guns to speak of, the blood running in the streets will be profuse in quantity. Try that terrorism shooting in a large Texas city and there's a much better chance that a CHL or 2 will engage them. SIA If they read the news, they will do it on a college campus or a military b...

30 carbine is similar to 357 energy. Ruger used to make the Blackhawk in 30 carbine.

Re: Mace/Pepper Spary - Texas Law
But it was an innocent situation. It was use of force. No different than kicking the man in the groin. Use of force may be justified under chapter 9 but it's still force. Same as deadly force is still deadly force, even if it's justified. Does she get charged with something? I can't predict the fut...

Re: Can the weapon I use for SD get me convicted?
I'm not arguing Fish's guilt or innocence here, but merely to point out that the linked article makes him sound guilty. That article doesn't say anything about the agressive behavior of the unrestrained dogs, or that the attacker continued to advance and make threats after Fish displayed the gun an...

How about a five day waiting period after registering before you can post. Call it the Brady Outlandish Scenario Prevention Act.

Re: More Union greatness, they got their bailout so PARTY IT
I'm no union guy, that's for sure, but one thing struck me after watching the report for the 3d or 4th time. These workers took their 30 minute lunch break, drove over to the mini-mart for beer, then to the park and drank it, then back to work on time. Now I understand the safety factor here, but I...

Close, except it says it in German.7075-T7 wrote:HK

What it actually says: “I suck, and my gun hates me.”

Re: Customer Outs Himself
True, but it wasn't established that that guy was a CHL, a special investigator/off duty FBI agent/US Marshall/Personal Protection Officer/judge or justice/arson investigator/Game Warden/etc etc etc. You're right about that and some of those people can legally carry when they're drunk as a skunk. h...

Re: After dark Criminal Mischief
My response to this would be to represent myself pro se and ask the court to immediately dismiss the suit with prejudice. If I was in a foul frame of mind at the time, I would also ask the court to consider sanctions against the plaintiff's lawyer for falsely filing a suit he should have known he c...

That's how I feel about eating pork. It's legal but that doesn't make it moral.hirundo82 wrote:I tend to agree with most people here--just because the law says I can shoot someone for keying my car doesn't mean I'm morally justified for doing so.

I would be all for decriminilzation, not making them totally legal. This would allow employers to continue their current drug testing programs. Provided that there is drug testing required for anyone receiving ANY government aid, including medicaid. People want to abuse drugs, fine.........just don...
