The only drawback to owning one is that it’s hard to stop at owning just one. :thumbs2:

Haha I told the guy at the counter I was afraid of two things,
!.the unknown recoil at the time

First time 1911 shooting

After reading this forum for months and months I finally rented a 1911 at my local range and fell head over heals in love with it.

I was worried about the recoil since I had only shot 9mm before.

I loaded one round braced for impact lined up the sights and fired...
Then grinned cheek to cheek ...

Universities and leaving in car

Just got my plastic and have a few quick questions.

1: I frequently pick up my girlfriend who is a student at UT. As I understand the law it is OK to be carrying as along as I do not get out of my car on to university property. (I drive, pick her up, drive off, don't leave car)
