Re: Employer Wants To Know About Firearms/CHL
In the quest to "care for our employees" my employer is forcing everyone to electronically submit "Medical History" and "Domestic Assessment" surveys consisting of the following areas:
What really gets me is some of the questions on the "Domestic Assessment"
"Do you own or have access to firearms ...

Re: Flying with checked pistol
I have flown on Southwest twice recently with a locked pelican case inside a suitcase. Put TSA locks on the suitcase & both times when I arrived at destination, the TSA lock is missing. Everything else is still in the bag. Not sure why they take my locks, but if it happens again I will be asking ...

I should have included a link, thanx Keith.
I posted cause I thought it was typical ignorant reporter, stating that in Texas - it is against the law to carry a weapon into an establishment (retail or bar) that sells alcohol. Period. That is way incorrect...Kieth's link has comments that were not ...

Here is an article from KSAT news about MAG being turned away from a Target protest.

Re: What's a good price on a used LCP or LC9?
I just paid $250 for a Coyote Special in almost unused condition just 2 weeks ago. It had original box, papers and lock. It is the only LCP that I was really interested in because I am not a fan of the .380 round. As it works out, someone in the family had a need for a VERY concealable handgun at ...

Re: We are doomed when a cat can hold a family hostage.
I like cats and have had a couple of really cool ones. Any animal that is going to live in your home and be a part of your family needs training. These guys obviously don't know how to deal with the cat, have not set rules, and need to give the cat to a better home.

Re: Cato Institute Defensive Gun Use Map
Pratt on Texas is a local radio show in Lubbock. He keeps up with stories from Texas where people use self defense against criminals.
He calls it the Anti-Wimp update. Here is a link. Someone should clue in Cato about his page & the NRA page.

Re: Self Defense, Slaton TX
Our local newspaper leaves a lot to be desired. It is called the Mudslide (Avalanche Journal) for a reason. The latest update I have seen says that the bad guy was a drifter that Mr Melcher befriended & was at one time a couple on months ago even staying with him in the home. The story is that ...
