Re: Small claims court

I highly recommend disputing the charge if you paid by credit card. Money talks, though once they complete the inspection, the card company will consider their end fulfilled without regard for your wasted time. I have always wanted to try a remedy frequently suggested by Clark Howard - picketing. As...

If you open the PDF file in Adobe Reader, press Ctrl-F to open the Find/Search box. If you use a different PDF viewer, it likely has a search function - Ctrl-F, or Edit->Find, or something similar.

You may want to look up the other instructor on the CHL site and, if listed, contact him directly. If he has your certificate, it may be easier to just trade.

Re: NOW Live Stream Williamson County leaders to answer gun law questions

Of course you can always seek discussion with a higher authority within the business. Its lack of mention in my responses was not intended to imply that it is not an option; I assume it is always an option. But choosing to seek such higher authority doesn't change the fact that you received notice u...

Re: NOW Live Stream Williamson County leaders to answer gun law questions

The statutes use "apparent authority" because we don't know who has authority, and it is not our place to figure it out. Ok, then these questions should be easily answered: You know these questions aren't easy. That's why we're discussing the issue. Here are my opinions. 1) A store has a sign posted...

Re: NOW Live Stream Williamson County leaders to answer gun law questions

When I have searched for explanations of "apparent authority," what I found (though I don't recall the particular places I found info) indicated that a person has apparent authority to do something if he is in a position that would normally do that thing. For example, if a fan is being obnoxious at ...

Re: Open carry: negative ramifications

What I meant to say is that they cannot void the 30.06/07 sign. After it's posted, and if I were to enter a building carrying, it's in the legal system for that part and the company can't decide, "well, we were just kidding" no matter what they've said in their announcement or anything else. 30.06 ...

Well, finally got in and paid this evening about 6. Looked at the stuff I printed out when I first attempted, Oct 5. Twenty one days to get the system up to where folks can access. Need to talk with my friends at DPS (not in RSD) and see if they know what was going on. Know some folks that work IT ...
