Re: Are you voting in the 2018 Midterms?

For the first time ever, I plan to vote a straight ticket. On Monday, first day of early voting. I'll be sure to use my LTC for the required photo ID.

Re: Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?

I'm sure Mueller will be all over this case of collusion between the Democrats and foreign citizens to influence the outcome of our upcoming federal elections. Holding my breath now for the indictments that are sure to be announced soon. Please pass the towels. Your sarcasm is dripping all over. :m...

Re: LA Passes Ordinance Requiring City Contractors To Disclose NRA Ties

If this law is ruled constitutional, then I would love to see Texas require the same disclosure for any relationships with Planned Parenthood, and any organization that accepts any funds from George Soros. We should pass that law, then have our Solicitor General argue that it's unconstitutional whe...

Re: Obama's Operation Choke Point finally unmasked

If we ever get an Attorney General with any back bone they will be busy! Trey Gowdy is not running for reelection, he should be one of the top contedenders for the job.JMHO Seconded! Heartily. I've postulated elsewhere that this is actually a plan, already in place for post election. Empty wishes, ...

Re: Turkey: Saudi journalist last seen at Saudi consulate in Turkey

I still don't know why we care about this. I sort of agree... there's the optics problem of our President conducting national security related foreign affairs with an allegedly murderous government that kinda looks bad... but... is anyone surprised that the Saudis do bad things? But the court of pu...

Impossible to know spin from truth on this one....
Ok... the back story may never be known, but, apparently there was audio surveillance during the act itself.

I love the idea, and may try some of it myself. But I don’t see how this is ‘off topic’ - it certainly would be prudent to be well-armed.
I believe they cross into Mexico a few times. Good idea, but illegal to be armed there.

Re: Turkey: Saudi journalist last seen at Saudi consulate in Turkey

So I'm reading the journalist was also a Muslim Brotherhood fellow traveler, if not member, was a confidant and advisor to members of the Saudi royal family who are on the outs with the current ruler, and his beef with the current ruler is not that he's too authoritarian but that he is too western ...

OT: Texas Backroad Borders

Way off topic, but very Texas. Goal: Drive the entire Texas border (the whole perimeter), as close as possible to the actual border, on back roads wherever possible. An interesting wanderlust story and some great scenery. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Back Story: Texas Backroad Borders Episo...

Hard to believe there's no security at a courthouse that hears cases where defendants face prison time. "Old school"!
