A beauty, but not in my current budget.
Prayers up for you and your family Carl.

Re: Tucker Gunleather suddenly shut down
Tucker Gunleather (Longenecker?) didn’t make squat. He was a reseller for Tucker and Byrd. Tucker and Byrd still operates.
Yeah, that's the funny part about the whole thing. He got the reputation and money doing pretty much nothing.
The names are similar but they were NOT the same company ...

Re: Texas High Court Limits Self Defense Law
Leo,
I hear you on wanting a “Reader’s Digest” version. The law can get dense fast, and even instructors have to revisit it from time to time to keep it straight.
One thing I always tell people is that you do not necessarily need a new book or a long reading list to get a solid refresher ...

Re: Texas High Court Limits Self Defense Law
It's been so long since the actual class I don't remember all the details of when/where it's ok to carry, to draw the weapon, etc. that might reduce the likelihood of legal involvement. That LTC-16 looks like a good reference to have for one. Thanks.

Re: Texas High Court Limits Self Defense Law
Is there a good book, hopefully of a "Reader's Digest" or "For Dummies" or best combining both that covers the basics of what a license holder needs to know on most things CHL?

Re: Texas High Court Limits Self Defense Law
Someone's gonna need to explain to me how that affects law abiding people who are not in the process of resisting arrest... or some other situation in chapter 9 that I might find myself in.

She recently had an interesting interview about how tough her life is what with a team of hairdressers and makeup people with her all the time. Also how rough it is having her hair straightened to please white people.

Re: Grand Prarie - When the police show up at the wrong house
I had an armed officer mistakenly enter my house several years ago. (Wife failed to lock the door to the side yard... don't get me started)
Short version... he was dispatched (correctly) to an alarm call and had the right house number but the wrong street in the same neighborhood.
At one point, I ...
