I was Pending Man on a Thursday.
Went to Man on Friday.
And was Mailed the following Tuesday.
Had it that Friday.
I think your mileage will vary greatly on this from person to person.
Keep in mind the update site is not "Real-Time". For example mine went from Man to Mailed between midnight and 5 am ...

Re: Would YOU carry?
I've been through the investigations for security clearances a number of times, and as an officer I had some responsibilities regarding assisting in the investigations of those junior to me. Of course it's a crime to lie or perjure yourself on the SF-86 and/or other investigative forms. But I see ...

Re: Body Scanners Emit Ten Times More Radiation Than Expecte
The article is long but does say that they don't really emit ten times the radiation.
But that the techs doing the tests, did the math wrong.

Re: The President writes about guns in AZ paper
Never let a good tragedy go to waste.
I love the part where he said since then 2000 people have died.
Wow really 2000 people were killed by individuals that bought guns legally. Humm or was it 2000 gang, drug, and crime related deaths.
Of course we get the obligatory "What about the children ...

Re: Would YOU carry?
A few points. OP has said that the no guns "policy" came in to effect after he was hired. So he really didn't give his "word" that he would follow that particular policy. Presuming that he doesn't have a written employment contract, who says he agreed to abide by all the employer's (apparently ...

Re: Parking in neighboring business park
Unless someone with authority over the lot tells you otherwise, you should be free and clear to park there.
Thanks :thumbs2: I'm going to look tomorrow to make sure there aren't any prohibitive signs in their lot, but I doubt it since others from my building park there. We don't have any on-street ...

Re: Would YOU carry?
In my job I face this on a daily basis. Sometimes I can park off the property, other times it becomes a federal crime and I must leave it at home.
Just out of curiosity, could you expand on how sometimes you can park off property and other times it's a federal crime and you must leave it at home ...

Hoping you consider all things, which you may have.
But I add one last word of serious Legal caution.
Since you have Federal clearances you have singed and sworn oaths to them, tread very carefully .
These in all likelyhood include clauses to the effect that if you “knowingly “ do something ...

Re: Would YOU carry?
hirundo82 you nailed it! The policy wasn't in effect when I hired on and I am able to provide for my family very well.
My primary obligation is to love my wife as Christ loved the Church. I'll take my moral guidance from my discussions
with my heavenly Father and not concern myself with anyones ...

Re: Would YOU carry?
A man's highest moral duty is providing for his family. That includes putting food on the table as well as coming home to them safely every night.
Good jobs aren't that easy to come by, especially these days. If you have to break some pointless rules of your employer to provide for your family ...

Re: Would YOU carry?
Quite simply put, if you break the Law then you can be prosecuted.
If you violate a company policy you can be fired.
If the places you go have a correctly posted 30.06 (notice how I did not say “Legal”).
Then you need to respect that just like anywhere else.
This would include yards and building ...
