Special privileges like your so called enhanced CHL are the mark of tyrannical states.
I disagree. Their restrictions on the general public are the true signs. Whether or not they grant special privileges to a special few, they are tyrannical states or not because of their actions regarding the ...

Re: Why exactly does Texas not have open carry?
Given the state's otherwise pro-gun climate and the fact that many more anti states allow open carry (at least in theory), it makes no sense at all that Texas forbids it.

Re: State Police in Texas?
I think any LEO who is employed by the State of Texas is considered State Police. Like peace officers employed by the State Board of Dental Examiners, game wardens aren't part of a city police force, county sheriff office, etc.

These people have been killing each other since the dawn of time. The U.S. should not send even $1.00 in assistance or aid to either side. Let 'em have it.

The phrase "enemies foreign and domestic" comes to mind when I look at what they're doing to the country.

3. Folks who haven't done a lot of thinking situations through (like the very valuable activity that goes on in this Forum constantly) don't have a plan they can fall back on and execute. Instead they act impulsively - and often unwisely.

Any thoughts on how this applies to road-side gas stations? I frequently travel HWY69/75 between Dallas and I-40, and my preferred place to stop is the Choctaw Travel Plaza in Atoka. It's clean with decent prices and a convenient spot to walk my dog. If I enter the store to use the restroom, am I ...
