Re: New mamber with a bunch of questions...Sorry
For some of you new to concealed carry I have a very comfortable way to carry my Beretta Nano while keeping it totally concealed and easy to draw the gun very quickly. Amazon carries a fanny pack, made by KA-BAR the knife people, that is specifically made for pistols. You can see it here: http://www ...

Re: Beretta Nano 9mm Range Report (first 440 rounds)
Just got back from the range with my Nano. I shot 100 Academy Monarch 115gr FMJ brass (made in Serbia) no problem. Also shot 50 RWS 124gr FMJ no problem. I have come to the conclusion that the Monarch 115gr brass is one of the best cheap ($11/50) rounds for range practice. I'm going to try more ...

Re: What do you do if you draw your weapon w/o having to sho
This has been a very enlightening discussion by intelligent and sensible people. Far more useful information than I got in CHL class. kjolly I do agree with what you just said. Common sense has to prevail.

Are you telling us that this WAS NOT covered in your CHL Class?
AEA, I could right a book about the pertinent information that was not covered along with a lot of other wrong info. Instructors are people too, and are very capable of making mistakes right along with the rest of us. That is a big ...

I took the class on 1/14/12 and received my CHL on 2/18/12. Considering my fingerprints were rejected twice 34 days was not too bad.

Is CHL carry legal on Corps of Engineers Property
I visit Joe Pool Lake often. Specifically a radio controlled model airplane flying field. Joe Pool Lake is Corps of Engineers property. The flying field is in a City of Grand Prairie Park on Corps property. Can I carry with my CHL legally at the flying field?

Re: CHL-16 clarification for 30.06 sign
Actually I was a bit disappointed in the CHL class that I took. As far as the shudda part the 30.06 sign was touched on as well as the 51 sign but not to the extent that I would have liked. I felt that more time could have been devoted to handling CHL related conflict resolution. It was a long class ...

Re: Why did you get your CHL?
goose, no apologies are necessary. I really do appreciate how you used restraint in dealing with the situation. The little girl's life was possibly in danger as was the woman's. I don't appreciate the dispatcher's attitude or the LEO's slow response to a possible life or death situation. Of course ...

Re: Fingerprint Rejection Twice
Plain water will hydrate the fingertips enough to raise ridges in about 90% of people. For the others, we use CornHusker's Lotion. Not just any lotion - has to be CornHusker's. Don't know what magic ingredient is in there. Don't know why it works. We just know that it does. Like Keith said - other ...
