Re: windows 11

Some amateur radio operators are reporting that Windows 11 isn't playing nice with a few devices like the Icom radios. Some software also seems broken, but right now its all pre-release pains so I expect everything will play nice for the official launch.

Re: Kenosha Wisconsin Shooter discussion

Robert Barnes, who is a part of Rittenhouse's defense team, cohosts a weekly live stream (Sundays) on the youtube channel Viva Frei. As I understand it Barnes role is more to handle PR and advise, so you can often get an idea of how the defense is reacting to things from the Viva Frei channel ...

Re: NM: Prop gun in Alec Baldwin movie kills one injures one

While I personally lean towards 100% incompetence myself this is a rare situation where both Occam's razor and Hanlon's razor might apply. I just want to make it clear that malice on the part of a third party is a possible factor in this tragedy.

Re: NM: Prop gun in Alec Baldwin movie kills one injures one

Where did the ammo come from, anyway? Not many people have a supply of .45 Long Colt sitting around. And remember this is in California, where you do a background check to buy ammo.

I read somewhere that there is speculation that the gun had been used for 'target practice', which explains the ...

Re: NM: Prop gun in Alec Baldwin movie kills one injures one

I'd like to know the bottom line. HOW that live bullet got in there in the first place. Who, exactly, put it in there? Were all 6 bullets live, or just that one? Maybe a disgruntled employee is in the picture - 7 people walked off the set that morning. If all 6 bullets were live, fingerprints ...

I want to say congratulations to Charles and thank him for the hard work he has put in for gun owners and preemptively thank him for the hard work he has ahead of him!

Re: Since Permitless Carry

For the record, Permitless carry went into law on 9/1/2021 and 2 days later I got my renewal letter. First stop after the mailbox was the computer and my new plastic has been in my wallet for over a week.

Re: Blood in the Street Day Today

I can definitively state that blood was spilled because of HB1927. I know this because I got a papercut while taking down the no longer required TABC blue signs at work. Bled for about 30 seconds, still hurts nearly a day later.

I can't comment one way or the other, but I do have the president of the organization on fascistbook, I mean facebook, as a friend (due to the relative proximity of where we live).

Re: Today in New Mexico

The more I think about it the less sense I can make of this ruling. No body waits until they have to push their car to the pump to get gas, so in theory the intoxicated driver should be able to keep driving which means the seller of the gasoline did not actually contribute to the accident other than ...

Re: Need someone to appraise firearms in Austin area

The only one I know to appraise and/or liquidate a firearms collection is Bobby Tyler, located in FrionaTx. He happens to be the same one that handled the Jeff Quinn from gunblast collection. Beruity follows him on facebook as well IIRC. He has been known to appraise and/or buy firearm collections ...

Re: What is Abbott waiting for?

SB 7, the voter integrity bill, passed after a marathon session last night. That's a biggie. In fact, from a conservative/Republican perspective, this legislative session has to be really annoying to the left. We've accomplished an awful lot.

I had not paid that much attention to this bill, but ...

Re: Wholesale elimination

That’s pretty shoddy work, but are we getting the Constitutional Carry bill signed?

Depends on the senate, house accepted the committee version.

The committee version is pretty much identical to the senate version, I believe so should be a good bet that it will clear the senate

It ...
