Re: UMd researchers promote gun safety for gangbangers...
The inclusion of Critical Theory and structural Marxism is just the usual fluff that professors lay out on their analysis of everything these days. What I found highly amusing was the scenario of going into some high crime area and teaching a bunch of gangbangers and thugs to properly store their ...

Re: UPS Ammo Shipments Going Missing
Probably happening at the dock or during shipping. Years ago (early 70s), I drove a truck on contract to USPS for a mail route to several Wilmington (DE) post offices. I watched dock workers carry tires to their cars (yep, tires were tape wrapped and sent through the post office), and various sized ...

Re: Obtaining Permission letters from Corps of Engineers
Texhoma is in Tulsa District boundaries. The civil works areas of Corps Districts is based (mostly) on watershed areas. The state of Texas is in four different civil/regulatory districts: Fort Worth; Tulsa; Galveston; and Albuquerque. The military support districts are different animals altogether.

Re: Obtaining Permission letters from Corps of Engineers
I watched this happening. I believed the ACE slow rolled implementation of the regulation in hopes that a Dem would become president. There was plenty of time after the comment period closed to publish the reg, but it just sat there.

Worked a towing company late 70s in Newark Del. Got a police cal to a location to standby an auto tow while suicide was being removed. This 18 yo kid shoved a shotgun in his mouth sitting on the hood of his fathers Duster and ended it. Kid was still there but on the ground, his jaw and throat was ...

Re: Self-Defense / Tactical Pens
I have carried one of the Zebra full metal pens since the mid 1990s. As a USACE Ranger, the only options we had if confronted/attacked was 'verbal judo', flee, defensive moves, or something we could put our hands on to stop the attack (absolutely no guns). I had my Kershaw and my Zebra. USACE did ...

Re: Shotgun by the door / ready condition?
Lots of suggestions regarding wasps in a barrel but the OP has "ready condition" in the title. Given that it only takes seconds to get through most doors, I would not place a shotgun in a visible spot just inside the door. Also, my 'ready condition' is "cruiser ready" (trigger pulled on empty ...
