You can simply destroy renewals (expired License) but I am pretty sure they want the active ones (even incorrect) back.
He will find out for sure when he gets a reply from them.
The only requirement to return the old license is if you are modifying the license to allow carry of a different type ...

I vote for a .22 pistol.
Not to mention his wife may have an issue with it.Oldgringo wrote:...and possibly better received by friends and family.Keith B wrote:You sure you want to buy a guy?? I think a gun would be better.

Re: Border check station
Remember you are still in Texas, no laws change just because the LEO is federal. It’s really no big deal.
Actually, it does change if they are federal. We are required to display our CHL if asked for ID by a peace officer (or magistrate), but CBP/Border Patrol, as well as other federal LEOs, are ...

Re: New KSG THOUGHTS?
Saiga would be the best shotgun for zombies (although I consider a semiauto rifle to be best for that use), although the KSG is less likely to encounter legal issues being a domestically produced tube-fed pump gun rather than an imported semiauto with detachable mags.

The church demonstrating they don't trust me by prohibiting me from carrying would be what I'd consider good reason to switch churches if I were the church-going type.

Re: Question on sign at local hospital.
It never fails to amaze me the number of people that are afraid of doing stuff that simply is not illegal. You do stuff that IS illegal every day, and don't think twice about it. Why sweat the stuff that isn't illegal?
A bit OT, but this emphasizes how over criminalized our society has become ...

Re: Question on sign at local hospital.
Does it make a difference if it is a county hospital like Parkland or John Peter Smith if you can carry or not?
It's not supposed to, but Parkland is a different situation. I don't know what the truth is with Parkland. It is a county hospital, which should make it government property and therefore ...

Re: Is Campus Carry prohibited by state law or campus rules?
In Virginia, it's the opposite; by default, you have a constitutional right under their State constitution, to be armed, but a school can "opt out" and prohibit it by "rules" ... though it isn't "illegal" ... except perhaps if they get you for trespassing of some sort or disturbing the peace or ...

Re: New Glock 26 and pulling left
I've had an issue with my Glocks of putting too little finger both trigger, pushing my shots to the left as I'm right-handed. I've been working on correcting this by being aware of trigger position and lots of .22 practice.

A lever gun with a tube magazine can also shoot .38sp where the rotary mag can't handle the shorter cartridge.
...do you know that from experience and would the .44 mag be the same way? That's why I never bought their .44 rifles..kept hearing that bad news but never nailed it down...

If your heart is set on the 336 but you want more power for larger game, consider getting the 336 in .35 Remington. While .30 WCF is borderline for elk, .35 Rem is definitely sufficient.

I would expect nothing less to come from the UC system, let alone the wanna be Berkeley that is UC Davis.

Re: Good experience with the Rem Model 770
Glad to hear you've had a good experience with your 770, but you're the first happy owner I've ever heard of. I've heard lots of stories where the poor build quality has caused major issues with the function of the gun.

Just as an alternate experience, I've ordered gun-related items from OpticsPlanet several times and never had an issue with it being out of stock.
