Re: Chl renewal

It's my understanding that your renewal comes on your Birthday. Don't think you can change that!
If you mean, can you send in your renewal early, I think six months early is the limit.

Re: Palmer - Speeding

The state does track the volume and dollar amounts of traffic violations by town... Interesting. Do you know where I could find that? Link? Several years ago, the city of Lavon got to be so bad about writing "revenue tickets" that the state withdrew their ability to even have a police force. They h...

Re: Palmer - Speeding

In my "retirement job", I represent the Federal Gubberment. In other words; I'm supposed to be late.
No need to hurry. Last speeding ticket was in 1964, last day of college.

...we've got the most balanced, professional LEOs in Texas at all levels that I've seen...I've been here since 84 and have yet to meet one who was out of line...they're a credit to the badge for the most part...and they seem to like us "clingers"... For the most part that's true. I've been pulled o...

In Texas, you're "good to go"! In other states, check the...

Also, as of 9/1/11, no more "night" or "truck" speed limits in Texas. Speed limits at night and for trucks are the same as for daytime autos.

Re: No Alcohol Limit?

I think what people mean when the say "no legal limit" is that there is no "minimum legal limit". You can be deemed intoxicated without reaching any specific blood/alcohol content.

Re: Picture submitted with application packet not used?

Going through the long walk through San Diego Airport a few years ago, a TSA agent looked at my driver's license and said, "You don't have a beard in this picture." I looked at him and said. "I didn't have a beard when I got in this line." I thought immediately that I had screwed up. He just laughed...

Re: CHL-friendly credit union in Dallas area?

I also went to ViewPoint Bank when I left Texans. ViewPoint has very good interest rates (by today's standards). Very happy with them.
They have "gun-buster" signs, but no 30.06.
