Re: Protest / Riot Intel Source?

If you don't have the time to commit to monitoring multiple groups to figure out when they might gather then you'll probably never know ahead of time. They take their own video and either live-stream or post it later. My driving is pretty rural. The advice I gave to my college-age children; plan you...

Re: Protests - the next level?

So Biden's idea is to defund the local police and reorganize a force under federal guidelines and control, with leadership that is farther away and more deeply shrouded in bureaucracy? Exactly how can anyone expect that to make things better? That hasn't been his history. I don't believe that HE ha...

Re: Protests - the next level?

IMHO, it does not matter if the thug had a weapon or not. He resisted arrest. He got himself shot for resisting arrest. Them is the breaks. Nobody, that I am aware of in recent history, has been shot by police after complying with lawful orders. Maybe I have it all wrong but I thought how it works ...

https://www.npr.org/sections/codeswitch/2020/08/27/906642178/one-authors-argument-in-defense-of-looting NPR - in defense of rioting Osterweil utilizes many types of logical fallicies in that interview. Am I to conclude that she is OK with looters taking her books without paying and protestors burni...

Re: Kenosha Wisconsin Shooter discussion

Is Grosskreutz also in police custody? Felon in possession of a firearm should put right back in prison again. I consider the extent of the media misrepresentation of this whole event, and all of the other similar ones, To be criminal as well. Grandpa carried a BAR when he was 17 years old, although...

My wife and daughter both like the Star BM. Heavy, and gets no bragging points, but pleasant to shoot and reliable. Wife carried it before getting her Kimber Pro Carry.

Ballots in the mail don't bother me - it's the people outside of the USPS I see as the problem. Bulk mailing instead of verifying the requestor as a registered voter, no guarantee that the registered voter is the one who completed and returned the ballot, and the possibilty of returning multiple bal...

Re: Joe Biden

IF Biden did win. IF he is declared incompetent or whatever. IF Kamala a becomes president (vomit). Just because the speaker is third in line of succession doesn’t mean she automatically is VP, right? Wouldn’t Kampala still have to pick her? The speaker is third and only automatically becomes POTUS...

It would follow you for ten years if you left. $1,200,000 for the base guy who left the first year because he was fed up. I guess your silicone valley types would be the first to get out of Dodge followed by I guess your Hollywood types. Let's go one step further - if you move out of state it will ...

Re: US didn't need to drop the atomic bomb on Japan

It's real easy to armchair quarterback 80 years after the fact. If this was true, why did Japan , not surrender after the first bomb? Did any of the US generals who condemned the bombing, resign, beforehand? Exactly. How many lives, American and others, have been wasted in other conflicts since the...

West, Texas was a very different situation. That was an operating fertilizer plant, not long-term storage, and I don't know that their investigation ever got any further than, "We're headed in the right direction."

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

I have a buddy who is a university professor and large number of their new faculty are working on H1B visas. He says the administration likes them because most will not question any of the poor leadership decisions that get made. I don't mention this to stereotype the workers, who are here doing leg...

Although I like some of the SBR or AR Pistol options, he is not a fan of anything that looks like an AR. (I know, I know!) Ruger camp carbine? Available with wood stock in 9mm or 45acp. I'm a proponent of the 20ga for home defense. A base load of #3 buck is sufficient - no uber loads required.

While it is a private university, students are eligible for financial aid through the U. S. Department of Education.
You shouldn't be able to claim private rule while cashing taxpayer's checks.

If you don't have time right now to dedicate to deprogramming and reprogramming remotes, then unplug it until you do.
