They need our help

ISRA URGENT ALERT – YOUR IMMEDIATE ATTENTION REQUIRED 03/15/08

Larry Suffredin and his cohorts on the Cook County Board are up to their old tricks again.

In order to justify passage of gun control ordinances designed to close all gun shops and ban and confiscate most guns owned by citizens of the county, the Cook County Board is conducting a telephone poll where callers can vote for or against the gun control ordinances.

Like everything else in Cook County, this poll is probably rigged. So, it’s very important that you do the following:

1. Call 1-312 -603-6400 and select Option #1 when prompted. At the next prompt, select Option #1 again. Then, when prompted to vote on the gun control ordinance, press #2. Update: Listen to the prompts for changes.

2. You should also forward this alert on to all your gun owning friends and have them vote too.

3. You should also post this alert to any and all Internet bulletin boards or blogs to which you belong.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A RESIDENT OF COOK COUNTY TO VOTE!

Let’s beat Suffredin at his own game! And, save your guns

Done, but as a life member of ISRA, I am disappointed that I wasn't notified.

Just voted. so far the options are the same
"Water's, wet, The sky is blue. And old Satan Claws, He's out there, and he's just getting stronger." Joe Halenbeck
"So what do we do about it?" Jimmie Dix
"Be prepared, Junior, That's my motto, Be Prepared". Joe Halenbeck

+1 for voting here...last night...will again today. Get so fed up with holyier-than-thou City Councils/County Commissioners passing arbitrary ban laws such as Cook County...another ring a bell...how 'bout DC vs Heller? As the Chief Justice Roberts asked....What is reasonable about a total ban on possession of handguns?

These things always "scare" me. Cook County now has a phone log of gun owners all over the US. I wonder what they plan to do with that info.......

In january I spent two weeks visiting my 83 year old father outside of Chicago. (Edited by LT) Between the weather and his age we didn't do much, but watch TV. Larry Suffredin had a bunch of TV ads running for some politcal office he was seeking. What really chapped me was the fact that he was proud that the NRA was against him. I may of grew up outside Chicago, but as soon as I was old enough & smart enough I moved to Texas.

I suspect that one out of three of all phone numbers in Texas belong to someone who owns a gun. Don't be to scared.
