For me the reminder is; no matter who you are and how much you know the gun is "empty", NEVER aim is at something you don't want to shoot!

He went on to sue his agency for leaking this evidence.

Yep. This happened in 2004 in Florida. Lee Paige, the agent with the unfortunate trigger finger, played one year (defensive back) with the Tampa Bay Bucccaneers before joining the DEA.

All I could think when I first saw the video a couple of years ago was, "What a regrettable introduction to firearms for those youngsters." They came away with a double whammy: "Gun experts really aren't experts," and, "Wow; it must not hurt that much to get shot." :???:

What an absolute idiot, gotta love the DEA! I saw this video for the first time about a year ago and it's still funny and scary today.

Although this particular agent's incompetence is likely not representative of his colleagues, I've always felt that his agency shouldn't even exist. Don't even get me started on the so-called "war on drugs" issue. Ditto for the BATFE, formerly known as the ATF, what a waste of tax revenue.

What I found most hilarious is that this agent briefly attempts to demonstrate an M4/M16 to the students AFTER he had just suffered a negligent discharge with his service weapon! I don't know about you, but I lose sleep at night knowing that the feds have agents like this runnin' the streets!
