.400 Corbon or 10mm?

.400 Corbon or 10mm?

I wanted to open up a can of worms on the old debate: is the .400 corbon better than a 10mm?


I have considered buying a .400 Corbon barrel for one of my 1911's, but an old reloader told me I would be better off just buying a good 1911 in 10mm for the simple fact of ammo availabilty and easier reloading-- in his opinion, the ballistic data was about equal.

Opinions?

I enjoy my .400 and have no problems reloading plus just change your
barrel and go back to the .45. BJ

I am biased towards the 10mm since I do not yet reload. 400 Corbon ammo isn't very common around my area.

If I were reloading, I'd skip the 400 Corbon and go right to 45 Super. :twisted:

Thanks, High Velocity I think I will go with the 10mm. Cooper had good things to say about this caliber all the time.
